Driver side under dash near hood release there is a fuse block.
How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 2000 Chevy Tracker?
The bulbs unscrew from the rear of the light . If you can't get to the rear, you may have to take the light assy off of the car.
Its easy... Pull the Elect. Plug out first.. then pull the Rubber seal off.. theres a metal wire spring.. push down and pull to side.. pull light bulb out.. replace and reverse to put back together.. can do in 30seconds..
How do you replace the drive belt on a 1994 Ford Escort 1.9L?
If you look down at the belt area, you will see a pully toward the front of the car that looks like it's attached to an arm. That is the tensioner pully. The tensioner is spring loaded. If you look at the arm of the tensioner there should be a square hole in it to insert a socket wrench or a breaker bar/pull handle to use as a lever to remove the tension from the belt. If there is no hle, then use a wrench(possibly 15mm) on the bolt head of the pully itself as your lever. As you hold the tensioner out of the way, unloop the old belt. Pay attention to the routing, so you can reinstall the new one correctly. Then, you route the new one in and again use your lever to move the tensioner so you can get the belt over the last pully. I usually put it over the alternator last. Use a light to make sure the belt is fully on all 5 grooves of every single pulley before you start the car.
Why would the air conditioner on a 2000 Chevy Tracker keep blowing the 25 amp fuse?
I was told that my 2000 tracker kept blowing the a/c fuse because I had a bad ground somewhere. I just don't care for a/c so I never tracked down which green wire had a bad connection.
A/C 2000 Tracker adviceGo to--> a site called; justanswer.com-- It is well worth the trouble and you get a real timely reply- and save big $$$ instead taking it to a garage- if you can invest a little time troubleshooting. It's not so difficult, step by step. I have a '98 Tracker and rec'd EXCELLENT service from the Techs. This is the first(knock wood) problem I had with the A/C this year or anything else. This site is bookmarked on my computer. The Fuse blowing is doing it's job-->protecting vital sensors,relay,a/c amplifier. Go to this site. The Techs will walk you thru. Is it the 25 Amp in the engine compartment fuse box? Most books like Chilton won't have the A/C repair tips. You'll be glad you visited that site. Good Luck a fellow-Trackee!I agree with the above. I've never been to the site, but I know that trackers are known for electrical gremlins that are costly to diagnose and repair, the most common being the faulty ground. Mine has this problem right now, and it kills my brand new battery after sitting for more than 24 hrs or so. I hope you find the info you'll need ... thanks to whomever listed the site, I'll be going there to diagnose my 2000 tracker's electrical problem. Good luck!
Before paying someone like at the site listed above, try and unplug the front Aux fan in front of the radiator. The fan is known for blowing fuses on XL-7's.
I had the same problem, somewhere in this forum I read that there are wires that come out of the fuse box under the hood. Those wires can rub against a metal part and wear away the coating on the wires. I looked under my hood and that's exactly what I found. I put some electrical tape on the damaged wire, replaced the fuse and today I have A/C.
How do you change the air conditioner filter of a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire?
The air conditioning filter is located centrally behind/inside the dashboard. You have to completely remove it to access that filter, in doing so you have to dismantle the enitre board, which can be confusing, and then proceed to take apart the a/c device, (which includes the intake valve for the air, the filter you're after, the coil for the a/c, and the free-on tank, and if you accidently put it back together wrong, that in itself, can cause another slew of problems for you... so it's best left to a mechanic.
What is the correct setting for a timing belt on a 1993 Geo Tracker?
If you are going to change the belt, go to Auto Zone or another parts store and get a manual on your car. It will show you how to do it. cam gear has a notch and a bump which points toward top and sort of lines up with belt cover back plate. crank has a key which lines up to a arrow shaped tab also on the top side of that gear on engine. as for the tensioner belt adjuster, the manual isn't too clear on proper adjustment. good luck
The FSM only that is the factory service manual don't trust any other as the do not always include TSB Technical Service Bulletins. Do not guess unless you have lots of available cash. Check out http://www.suzuki-forums.com/ look for jerrys kick-fix link. He is a Suzuki Tech and he has saved me tons of money.
