No. Bin Laden was a CIA Asset in the 1980s. The difference is that an agent is directly affiliated with the US government and reports to Langley, but an asset is someone in close communication with an agent, but harbors no natural loyalty to the US government.

The reason that Bin Laden was an asset in 1980s was that he was leading the Mujahedin rebels against the Soviet-backed Communist Afghan Government. The United States wished to make the Soviets suffer in Afghanistan the way that the Soviets had made the United States suffer in Vietnam.

The CIA works with intelligence and the FBI leads investigations. Officially, FBI cannot work outside of the US and CIA cannot ONLY work outside of the US. Of course, they both break those rules, which is probably actually a good thing.

The vision requirements to work within the FBI are a minimum of 20/200 uncorrected and 20/20 in one eye, 20/40 in the other with corrections (ie glasses/soft contacts). The general requirement for any CIA Officer is to have at least a 4-year college degree (BA/BS) with a minimum 3.0GPA. Excellent written and communication skills are also essential. Foreign language fluency and extensive overseas travel and cultural knowledge are also very useful skills. To be a Specialized Skills Operations Officer - the guys that are sent in to perform the CIA's covert paramilitary intelligence operations ("black ops" if you will) - you will most certainly need to have extensive military special operations experience with a history of foreign combat operations deployments. The average CIA "black ops" officer has years of experience in Army Special Forces, Army Delta Force, Navy SEALs, Marine Force Recon, etc on top of the 4-year college degree. Also note that any employee for the CIA, especially overseas officers, must have clean backgrounds. All employees go through a very extensive background investigation prior to be hired. Any arrests, drug use, alcohol abuse, or a long history of being untrustworthy and gossipy amongst friends, classmates, and coworkers are all reasons for being disqualified.

So if you want to know the best way to become a black ops officer for the CIA - stay out of trouble, away from drugs, be loyal and trustworthy to people you know, do VERY well in school, be responsible and reliable in any job you ever have, and of course, serve at least a few years in a U.S. military special operations unit. This last part is obviously much easier said than done.

If you are simply an American, then to my knowledge, no. If you are a dual national, however, several countries do. I know that Germany allows Germans to enter into law enforcement even if they hold another nationality (uncluding US nationality), and would presume that numerous other countries have similar provisions.

No. DO and MD are the two different, yet equal, degrees needed to become licensed physicians and surgeons in the United States. The credentials you use would have to be the ones you've earned. Putting an MD after your name when you are really a DO would be like putting an MS after your name when you really have an MA. MD and DO are two different, yet totally equivalent degrees. How many freaking times does this need to be said?

A doctor of osteopathic medicine has the same credentials as does an MD including the option of becoming "board certified" in their area of training. They spend the same amount of time in medical school, internship, residency as does an MD, but unlike an MD, a DO spends hundreds of hours of additional training in the musculoskeletal system.

Yes,some are given much latitude in setting up "companies" to conceal their covers.Some are phoney others actually have been known to make particular agents very wealthy and insure them very important business contacts long after they leave the agency.

This is not something we at this site can address. Since the actions of the CIA are confidential and related to national security, they rarely report on which people are being targeted and for what reason; but historically, the targets are usually overseas terror suspects and people believed to be spies for foreign governments, based on what reports we do have. CIA Agents do have assigned areas to live, because let's say that an agent lived in L.A. and they have to do a "Mission" in Australia they would have to go over there for a period of time, and they would have to live in Australia till they complete the Mission, and it can take days or it can take month.
