Nobody knows who first introduced the clarinet (which originated as the chalumeau), but the clarinet that is played today was introduced by Johann Christoph Denner.

How do you put a clarinet reed in a reed Gard?
Look at the reed, first off, and notice how one side is flat and the other side has an incline and a type of bump. Put the reed into the reed guard thinnest side first and flat slide. At first it seems as if you might crush the reed or chip it, but the bump on the other side will stop it from doing that. And there you go, you put a clarinet reed into a reed guard. :)
Is clarinet a jazz instrument?
As far as I know, I haven't seen a single clarinet in a jazz band (sure in a marching band, but not in jazz).
My friends who play clarinet are also in the jazz band, but intead of playing their clarinets, their switch/use saxophones instead.
So, no, I don't think clarinet is a jazz instrument.
Is buffet clarinet or noblet clarinet better?
buffet- sound nicer :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I play noblet clarinet. My friend plays buffet. I suggest both because both of them have good quality sound. When I play noblet clarinet, playing the middle Bb and B(not the low) is very hard and the exact right tune won't come out. But the high and and low notes are awesome on noblet. On buffet the B and Bb are alot better then noblet. But the other notes aren't as good as noblet. I suggest noblet but buffet is great too!
How do you remove a swab from a clarinet?
With Great Care!
If your swap has got stuck it is most likely on the thumb hole that protrudes into the bore.
First, take apart the clarinet... now isolate which section it is stuck in and try gently wiggling.
If that does work, VERY carefully insert a pencil into the thumbhole, or the fingerholes and try and work it free that way.
If all else fails, take it to the local repair shop. If it is well and truly wedged there from being pulled, you may end up having to remove some keys to get at it.
How do you clean a clarinet reed if you have a cold sore?
Rub alcohol on it with a cotton ball and rinse really well with water. You might wanna clean your mouthpiece too.

Why is the clarinet not in the brass family?
Because it uses a reed on the mouthpiece, therefore it is in the Woodwind family of instruments, like the oboe, and the English horn. Brass instruments generally have a metal mouthpiece upon which the lips blow, such as a trumpet, tuba, or a French horn.
Selmer is a company that makes instraments.Unlike those cheap brands like Accent that you get at music stores these instrament are better by far.selmer doesn't make pianos and string instrementsit makes band instrements like:
saxophones
clarrinets
trumets
oboes
mostly instrements you play with your mouth.
It is actually a thin sheet of metal that is perferated in a way that in the summer it doesn't allow as much of the sun rays in, but in winter it lets in more sun to help heat the home.
Should you put Anbesol in your mouth if you have a dry socket?
I would not recomend putting anything in your mouth that will increase the poteintial for sensitivity or pain to your dry socket. The dentist that you see should have dry socket paste to apply for you. Try your best to keep your mouth free of cold air, and do not drink from a straw, smoke any cigarettes ,spit forcefully,or swish your mouth when brushing your teeth.

No. You will have to buy a broken one and maybe use some parts from that one.
Where does the instrumentalist who plays the bass clarinet sit?
I sit in between the Basson and the Trumpets on the third row, though I am in a middle school band so it could be different for you.
Rest assured, you are not weak. You are using your lungs in a different way to take the deep breaths needed to play a musical instrument with good support. If you get dizzy, take a break for a couple of minutes and begin again. As you continue to practice and learn more about the instrument you will become used to this deeper breathing. Singers and other wind instrument players also have this happen, so you are not alone. Keep up the work, music is fun (I have been playing clarinet for almost forty years).
