it's not too bad but it could be worse! i'd say if you've been doing this for a while then you will prob be addicted to having them every day. The best thing would be to cut down slowly as it's better on your body. you will have to come down off them eventually so why not now? you've got nothing to lose! lots of us have been there so goodluck! :)

Because, when paired together, promethazine is an opiate potenciater. many people get sleepy taking promethazine by itself.... When they're mixed, it makes the opiate if choice even stronger; hence the reason it is matched with codeine in "lean," or "drank."

To set the record straight cough syrup that contains codeine may be purchased not over the counter but by asking the Pharmacist for the medication and then siging for it in a log that we keep behind the counter. For the folks that like to make bold statements ie the cough syrup with codeine can not be purchased any where in the USA.. you need to do some background work. I do not know the regulations of every state but in Tennessee this product can be purchased in a pharmacy.

Pairing codeine with other drugs makes it harder to abuse as well as serving the function of two medicines. *be extremely dose cautious when using codeine with Apap, or Aceitomenophen(Tylenol), because apap can cause overdose at doses as little as 2,000 mg(depending on the preperation could be as little as 4 pillz).

I myself didn't smoke cannabis for a week before I mixed it with codeine (and this was when I smoked 2-4 times a week, I had a tolerance where my 'highs' only last for about 40-50 minutes, then I come down) and what is funny is that I was completely oblivious of what happens when mixing codeine and marijuana, and I was recently taking codeine the entire week I didn't smoke cannabis, so the codeine was in my system real good. So one day I took another 30mg of codeine (I took 1-3 of those a day for 6 days) And the high I felt just minutes after smoking... Very intense, it was honestly a crazy psychedelic experience for me. I once mixed marijuana (back when I first started smoking it) with shrooms and salvia, and that was pretty intense. But the high I felt with cannabis + codeine was at least 3x more intense that that. I may have had more visual effects and more 'mentally high' with mixing those three, but the high with codeine and marijuana was different and unexpected, and I was tripping so hard it wasn't really enjoyable, Colors seemed brighter and more real, couldn't tell the difference between light or dark, and as for what I was feeling I can't even begin to comprehend, it's something you're gonna have to feel for yourself to understand. What was also unexpected was that in the past hour and a half after initially mixing the two, I'd feel myself getting higher, and higher, I didn't hit the peak at like 10-30 minutes in, it must have been somewhere around an hour and 40 minutes in, don't know if it was all in my head but it was still crazy nonetheless. The part where I got me the most was when I vividly felt fluids in my head swishing around, and I really REALLY believed that I was bleeding inside my skull. I felt dizzy, light headed, my head felt 'tight pressured', I couldn't properly breathe (mostly because I was tripping out I assume) and of course a racing heart. I also haven't felt the same since, and whenever I smoke marijuana after that experience it leaves me with a much more intense high than usual.
Mixing codeine and marijuana does do some brain damage btw, but it's not permanent, it's more of a 'mental wound' kind of brain damage, hurting your psyche a bit. But it goes away within time.
That is if you stop putting any marijuana or codeine in your system for a while.
