What are the responsibilities of composers in general?
They have to have a great sense of music and must be very much dedicated to their work!
Composers are generally people who write music.
This depends upon the context. If one was referring to a particular symphony by title, it would require a capital, e.g. Beethoven's Eroica Symphony.
If one was just writing referring to a symphony in general, e.g. "A symphony may be made up of three or four movements", the word would not need to be capitalised.

What is Debussy's Prelude to The Afternoon of a Faun is best described as?
"The music of this prelude is a very free illustration of Mallarmé's beautiful poem. By no means does it claim to be a synthesis of it. Rather there is a succession of scenes through which pass the desires and dreams of the faun in the heat of the afternoon. Then, tired of pursuing the timorous flight of nymphs and naiads, he succumbs to intoxicating sleep, in which he can finally realize his dreams of possession in universal Nature." (Claude Debussy)
Did Beethoven lose his hearing in early life or later life?
Beethoven began to lose his hearing around the middle of his life. Letters from Beethoven to his friends in 1801 indicate he had begun experiencing ringing (tinnitus) and deafness in his ears since about the age of 26 or 27.
By 1815 (age 44), his condition had become "intolerable" and he could no longer perform in public, though he could still compose.
It is well worth noting that the magnificent Symphony #9 was written by a man who had been totally deaf for years, and could only "hear in his imagination".
