What are AIX systems?

AIX is in fact a UNIX compliant operating system, from IBM. It was first released at the very back end of the 1980's, however was not really widely adopted until the early 90's. The version 7 beta has just been released (July 2010). It is currently the number 1 UNIX operating system on the market.

AIX runs exclusively on IBM's POWER systems, which are by far and away the most powerful and robust UNIX boxes. The POWER platform has been around for generations now, and builds on IBM's mainframe capabilities providing outright performance and reliability (IBM's POWER6 5GHz chips were the fastest available on the market, until recently beaten by POWER7. They significantly outperform Nehalem and Westmere chips...).

I suggest you check out www.ibm.com and Google for more information.

How do you determine a flash drive size?

In order to decide which size flash drive you need, first you must know what it is you are storing on it. The smaller the file type the smaller the flash drive you will need. Document sizes are as follows from smallest to largest- 1. Documents only(word, excel, etc) 2.Pictures 3. Music 4. Movies. For movies, you at least want to use 32GB, considering Movies are about 4GB each. Which will give you roughly about 8 movies stored. Anything else, you can go smaller in GB size.

What are ultra violet rays?

White light, like sunlight, is made up of many different colors of light. We see this when raindrops split the light into a rainbow. The purple part of a rainbow is violet light. Some parts of the light spectrum are not visible to the human eye. The invisible part next to purple (violet) is called the ultraviolet spectrum.

Everything is OK but your PC is not connecting to internet and firewalls are off why?

If the internet connection isn't working then everything is NOT OK.

Provide more details in order to get an answer.

Chances are that it's spyware. Try running a few different programs that will remove spyware from your computer. If this doesn't work, then try contacting your internet service provider, and make them aware of the situation. Often, they will help you with connection issues, and solve the problem, or at least pinpoint or narrow it down. Also, check to make sure that all the appropriate lines are plugged in (phone line, cable line etc.), then check to make sure that they actually work. If it still doesn't connect, then try repairing your WINSOCK file. Do a google search for "repain winsock file" and find a site that has the program to do so. You'll have to use a different computer to connect to the internet (obviously ;) ).

How do you split one cable internet line for multiple users?

== == (For this explanation, Ill be presuming you mean for home use)

Alright so you're currently with your one main cable internet connection and you want to have multiple users access the net with different computers at the Same time. All you need basically is a device called a "Router."

To begin with, you'll first need to obtain a Router. Now there are quite a few different models out there ranging from wireless ones to hard wired ones. For this example I'll be sticking to wired ones however if anyone feels like adding wireless Routers to the answer please feel free to do so.

Basically all you have to do is plug in your ethernet cable that normally goes into your computer into the router instead. From there, that cable will be split into more connections, depending how many your router supports and how many you actually want. All that you must do is plug more ethernet wires into the empty slots and plug them into the computers in which you want internet access.

Now obviously this explanation is brief as it's not getting into the workings of a router and more in depth set-up and security. If you're interested in a router, it's recommended to read up on various well-made documentation easily found on the internet. It will save you from many hassles in the future.

Answer Instead of a router you could always just get a switch. Some routers have to be programmed before they can be used (not that its an overly hard thing to do). But a switch would be cheaper and easier to set up.

Is an input device where it translates binary coded information from the processor into analog information you can understand?

No, an input device is something that carries data into something. In this case, the processor. This incoming information doesn't have to be analog information coming from a human, but it sometimes is. (E.G. a computer mouse, a computer keyboard) It also could be another electronic device interacting with the computer. (E.G. a flash drive, a phone, an mp3 player).

For a better way of understanding this, here is how input and output work:

Input -> Processor -> Output

Keyboard -> Computer -> Monitor
