The same way any set of speakers works - by sending an analog audio signal to an amplifier connected to the speakers. How can you clean your laptop computer screen it has sticky stuff on it?
The best way to do so is to spray some Windex onto a paper towel and get it damp (but not so wet that it is dripping) and wipe the screen with that. If you are concerned about potentially scratching the screen (though in my career of nearly 30 years, I have never seen a paper towel scratch a screen), you may use a microfiber cloth.
For some spots that seem to be stuck on so much that you need to let the fluid "soak" for a bit, a trick that I often use is to open the screen to 90 degrees or so from the keyboard and then tip the laptop so that the back lid (the case on the back of the screen) is flat against the table and the other half of the laptop is sticking up in the air. Make sure that the laptop is well-supported in this position, however, since the tendency will be for the "business end" of the laptop to return to the table itself. I generally use a stack of hardcover books or heavier phone books (such as the big thick phone books from metropolitan areas). Spray the Windex onto the stubborn areas and let it sit for a minute or so in order for the liquid to dissolve as much of the sticky stuff as possible, then wipe as normal with a paper towel or microfiber cloth.
My advice is against water, especially soapy water since water tends to evaporate more slowly and therefore can be much more damaging if it does get into the spaces under the edges of the LCD screen. On top of that, soap can leave a residue on the screen that will distort the images that you see.
I hope all this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to drop me a line.
