the danger of not having a good password is if someone knows guesses your password correct the could hack you and change your password. so make a password no one will guess but also one that you will remember!

They are indexes of certain folders. Their presence allows the computer to know more quickly and efficiently what the content of any given folder is.

There is no point in removing them because they will be created soon after you delete them.

well I'm on jump start and I've got trend micro titanium virus software and it hasn't given me any otherwise my virus software would of picked it up and zapped it away!

yes obviously you can install anti virus without Internet connection with the help of previously downloaded software either from pen drive, CD, DVD or from any drive of your computer which contains the required software.

But to make it updated with latest definitions (that is able to detect and cure the spam attacks, various virus attacks from the Internet) you must have Internet connection to update your anti virus so that it can effectively detect any possible threat which can be harmful to your computer/laptop.

There's not much difference to the normal user. However, to those more concerned with how it works, there are some differences.

A COM file is self-contained and cannot exceed 64KB in size because the stack, data, and code must all fit within 64KB. EXE files have no limiting size and have more header information.

The main difference is how they are loaded. When a COM file is loaded by DOS, it is loaded into low memory. EXE files separated where the CONST is loaded low and DATA is loaded high.

Also, if you have both, say EXAMPLE.COM and EXAMPLE.EXE, in the same directory and try to execute without specifing the extention, the COM will load first.
