This is a really simple code you can put in notepad and save as a .bat file.

@echo off

title Antivirus

echo Created By your name

:start

IF EXIST virus.bat goto infected

IF NOT EXIST virus.bat goto clean

IF EXIST virus.exe goto infected

IF NOT EXIST virus.exe goto clean

IF EXIST virus.vbs goto infected

IF NOT EXIST virus.vbs goto clean

:infected

echo WARNING! VIRUS DETECTED!

del virus.bat

del virus.exe

del virus.vbs

goto start

:clean

echo YOUR COMPUTER IS ALREADY SECURE

pause

exit

This code is really simple, although no virus will be detected by this code really easy. I suggest using this antivirus in combination with the one already installed on your computer.

How do you open a DVD case?

In many cases, there is a small (about 1mm in diameter) hole right under the tray - you can insert a pin (or a similar slim, long and straight object - like a straightened-out paper clip) into it to forcefully release the disc tray.

As this action is purely mechanical, this can be done even if the device is without power.

Did they have computers in 1992?

Yes they did ! Computers were around long before 1979. For example - the Apollo space missions all had computers in them and in mission control - and that was way back in 1969 !

Is cyberspace located in or over the oceans?

Yes and no. The only part located in the ocean would be the submarine cables used to connect different counties together. Some aircraft and satellites (which could be over the oceans at times) may provide internet access and so could perhaps be called "cyberspace".

Which CPU is better?

One cannot ask for a comparison of products to determine the "better" one without specifying which products need be compared. So all I can assume is that your question is one of two things:

1. Which brand of CPUs is best.

2. Which CPU is best.

AMD and Intel are the market leaders in making CPUs. Simply put, Intel processors tend to have better performance and produce less heat, while AMD processors tend to be less expensive.

The question of which CPU itself is best is very difficult, depending on what aspects you are looking at.

According to cpubenchmark.net, the Intel Xeon X5472, a dual core processor at 3 GHz, performs the best of any CPU tested. However, this processor is extremely expensive at about $1500 USD.

An AMD processor down the line, the Athlon FX-74, ranks in about a third of the Xeon, yet its price is still over $300.

There is an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, as well, which ranks below the AMD (but still very highly) at a more reasonable price of a little under $200.

Lower still, the Intel Pentium E2220 is undder $100.

For even less expensive CPUs, AMD processors may still bring a high GHz level (yet with other slower and hotter-running factors). For example, the Amd AM2 U-atx 8XAGP motherboard/cpu combo is just $50.

Can you play old computer games on new computers?

There are several options for installing old games on newer computers. A common problem is that 16-bit games do not run on 64-bit computers. One option may be to install a 32-bit operating system. If that is unfeasible, then there are still other options.

Some of the 16-bit games have 32-bit versions. For instance, if you play Doom, Doom 2, Hexen, Heretic, Duke Nukem 3D and similar, there are 3rd-party game engines. So you can install an alternative game engine and copy in your genuine game files and use the 3rd-party game engine to play the game files. Good Ole Games is a company that takes some of the older classics from MS-DOS days and converts them to 32-bit Windows versions. So from them, you can get things like Beneath a Steel Sky, Kingpin: Life of Crime, and all of the Police Academy games.

Another option is to install an emulator program. DOS Box is one example. It will give you a 16-bit compatible DOS command line window where you can run many of the old 16-bit compatible programs, including games. Not everything will work, and there may be some performance issues, but it is still a handy program. There are other emulators as well.

There are also emulators for other platforms. For instance, there are emulators for most of the older gaming consoles, and even older computers like TI 99/4A, Atari 800, etc. To use the console emulators, you would need the cartridge binaries. Some people have extracted the cartridge code and copied it to PC files, and if you have a compatible console emulator, you can run it. Of course, if you download such cartridge binary dump files, you do need to have the rights to use it. Downloading a binary of a cartridge game you already own is legal, but downloading a game you never owned (or have transferred to another) is not.

How many MB should be on a computer?

Bill gates once said, "...256 KB...", but that was years ago!

If you are using XP for best performance no less than 1 GB (2 if possible) of RAM (the more the merrier) and vista 2-3 GB.

Also, take your OS into consideration. If you use a 32-bit, then the maximum is 3 - 3.5GB but I wouldn't recommend under 2. For a 64-bit OS, pretty much anything will work. Again, stay over 2gb. The most I've seen in a laptop is the x58 laptop from smooth creations. I think it's 12 GB! The iMac Pro goes up to 32 GB. It'll cost you $6,000 extra just for that. Seriously, unless you're a hard core computer enthusiast/hard core gamer, 4GB will handle virtually anything. Anyhow, those are the bare minimums, but remember, more RAM is better (not counting the cost)!-u will only need 1-2GB of RAM 2 play almost any game and to make ur computer run good for XP but for vista u will need 2-3GB of RAM for a efficient computer.

The 64 bit Windows supports up to 128 GB of RAM but I doubt you can find any hardware that supports that amount. 64 bit actually allows a LOT more, but 128 GB is how much windows supports. However, a modern PC will not need more than 6 GB, even 6 GB is too much, 4 GB is enough. Your PC will never use 12 GB of RAM unless you do really heavy stuff like HD video editing and a lot of rendering (although is also based a lot on your CPU).

So for a Windows XP, anything above the 1 GB will do.

For Windows vista and 7, atleast 2 GB is recommended.

You do, probably, not ever need more than 6 GB and anything above that is basically a waste of money.

Additional Information:

This is a challenging question to answer - Why? because technology keeps changing year after year. (computers are now using GB, as opposed to MB for memory!) With newer Operating Systems being developed (Windows 7 and Mac OS X) along with faster processors, memory requirements also need to be considered.

You need to ask yourself what are you using your computer for? Are you using if for day to day email and surfing or are you a power user - graphics, gaming, etc? Take a look at what different companies are suggesting for their laptop/computer bundles? and you can add more memory depending on your usage.

Remember upgrading memory on older computers is dependent on how much the system board is designed to handle. How many slots do you have for memory? If this is what you are considering, you can check a site like crucial.com to check to see how much your computer can be upgraded to.

What is a Menu on a computer screen?

A Menu, simply means 'A list of options'.

With regards to computer applications, a menu is a small list of options that you can choose to perform within the application.

For example, If you use Microsoft word, and you click on the "File" button on the top left of your screen, it will drop down a "Menu" of options for you to choose from.

Also it could be a presentation of a list of choices: It has a way for the user to pick from the choices: they may be numbered, so the user can type in the number, or maybe the user can just click with a mouse, or push the touch screen or another way.

Here's an example: an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is run by a computer software. It displays a menu after the user swipes the card and enters the PIN. {Well usually the first menu you will see is English or Spanish, which may be even before you put the card in}.

The menu items to choose from may be: Account Balance, Withdraw Money, Fast Cash, Transfer money, deposit money. These can lead to other menus to step the user through the process.

Why does your computer go fast sometimes and slow sometimes?

Basically, it comes down to this:

A. Your computer is doing more computing in the background than it did before.

B. It using more memory than before.

Now the question becomes: Is it doing what YOU want it to, or is it doing things you rather it did not?

The following steps help minimize A & B above:

1. Back Up your data

2. Priority Updates. Make sure Windows is up-to-date.

3. Minimize behavior of security suites

4. Do full scan for malware

5. Clean registry

6. remove unused programs

7. Run Disk Cleanup

8. Run Disk Defragmenter

9. Run Check Disk

10. clean out dust

11. turn off 'eye candy'

12. Check your memory

Is curser mania free?

Yes it is free, but everything has a cost. If you download that, you will get virus guarantee, no matter how good your anti software is. Stuff like that, considered as 'ads' usually contain virus and Trojans. If you wish to get rid of the advertisements, you can:

  1. Right click on the picture or advertisement.
  2. Find where it says Block Images From .....
  3. Click on Block Images From...(Example is Block Images from www.viruspics.org)
  4. After that, the images of the advertisements are gone. You must used Firefox to do this, if you don't have Firefox, then you should download it since Firefox is very fast, and you get fewer risks of getting virus than Internet Explorer.

If you do not want to go through all this trouble, then just don't click.

A peer to peer network that shares resources without a server is known as a?

A host in a peer to peer network can offer resources to other hosts or devices in the network without being a server. If you share a printer, or a folder across the network you are sharing information or resources with other devices; in each case neither system is a server.

The ability to do this is built in to most desktop client operating systems.

What application is best for creating a budget?

There are at least two ways.

For example, if you work and have a regular income:

  • Start with the maximum amount of money available in a period, then list the expenses that must be paid during the same period. Include savings and charity.

If you have an irregular income, or if you have unlimited access to funds:

  • List your fixed expenses and your variable expenses and calculate how much you need during a period.
