What is a saw zaw?

It is the wrong way to say/spell Sawzall, a brand of reciprocating saw made by Milwaukee Tool Co. Also called Saber/Sabre saws, they are a very handy electrical saw, which, with the right blade choice will cut many different materials.

ANS 2 -The Sawzall is a reciprocating saw only. ( NOT also called a Sabre saw. That is a totally different tool that has a base 'shoe' and a blade about 3" long that cuts up and down on a sheet of wood or plastic. )

Sawzall, or 'reciprocating saws' carry blades from 3" to over 15" long, of all types, metal cutting, wood cutting etc. They are made by most electric tool companies now. The simplest and cheapest is the Ryobi which is battery operated. DeWalt probably has the greatest number of reciprocating saw types, at least 12 different that I've seen. The biggest and most powerful of these tools are made by DeWalt, Milwaukee and Bosch.

How does the pneumatic nail gun work?

The gun is permanently charged with air, when you push the foot in and pull the trigger air is released to the piston which strikes down to eject the nail and then returns to 'load 'position. If the gun is operating properly, the foot (where the nail comes out) MUST be depressed against a solid object to release the trigger. -Always remember to put a drop or two of air tool oil in the air entry every hundred shots or so.

-BE SAFE Never point an air nail gun at anyone !

Where does a sawzall get its name from?

Possibly because it can saw many different materials with different blades.

A bench drill press is a large drilling machine that stands on a very heavy steel base. A 3" steel column extends up 3 feet for a bench model. At the top of this column is an elongated box with the motor at the back, driving a shaft with a 4 tier pulley above it. The front of the box contains a hollow shaft with a spindle inside it. The spindle also has a 4 tier pulley on top. The hollow shaft can be wound up and down by the side control lever. lowering or raising the drill shaft and chuck, A belt between the 2 pulleys drives the spindle and the chuck connected to it's lower end. In the middle of the column, a table, usually about 15 " square can move up and down the column to adjust work height.

What is magnification 30X in theodolite?

This means the telescope component brings things visually 30 times closer. Many theodolites used by various government agencies used to be pro-rated at 25X more than adequate for most tasks including trackint weather balloons- this being called a Pibal ( Pilot-Balloon) theodolite. the term pilot is somewhat misleading, as it is not a manned and controlled ( hence piloted) vehicle but an unmanned balloon that, of course follows the wind currents aloft- and moves at the same rate and direction! These instruments, while rivalled by more modern gadgetry- are still used by the Weather bureau and particularily at airports and similar sites where wind functions are important to safe operation of aircraft. I understand some modern Theodolites are l00X ( for building surveying work)- but this might be a misunderstanding with the standard Focus of l00 feet- like the various fixed focusing stops on a camera. all theodolites have adjustable focusing, in part to adapt the instrument to different lightint conditions brought about by- you guessed it, the weather ( more sophisticated one might say diminution of light caused by atmospheric refraction, switch up the lens power!
