Is time older than ten thousand years?

The Universe has existed for an estimated 13 billion years, since the Big Bang. It is possible that time itself started at that moment. So yes, in any case that's more than 10 thousand years.

What is the divine theory on the creation of man?

The narrative of Divine Creation, which is contained in Genesis ch.1 and 2, means that God created the universe. This teaches us that God exists, that our lives and the world are meaningful, and that the created things may be assumed to contain vast wisdom in their beautiful and purposeful design. (In recent decades, this wisdom has indeed been partially revealed, through increasingly powerful microscopes.)Evolution through random mutations, on the other hand, may be understood as implying that life is an accident, that perceived beauty and wisdom are ultimately purposeless, and that our instinctive yearning for the Eternal is just an electrical impulse in our brain.

Discuss the process of creation?

First we must understand that God does not do anything on the spur of the moment. He first plans what His intentions are and the reason for them. He will draw up a blue print so to speak. Designing everything from the tiniest flower to the greatest beast. There will also be a place for mankind in this blue print, as man is in the image of God there was no need to plan what he will look like. All other worlds ever created (Organized) were done in this manner by His will and by His pleasure. The process by which this world came to be is described in the Book of Genesis. Contrary to some of our learned men and women, man, beasts and all manner of living things did not evolve but were placed upon this earth as they were meant to be, each to his own kind and in their own season.

Who won the babylonian creation story?

In the Babylonian creation story, known as the Enuma Elish, the god Marduk emerges as the central figure who triumphs over the primordial chaos represented by the goddess Tiamat. After a fierce battle, Marduk defeats Tiamat and creates the world from her body. He then establishes order among the gods and is hailed as the king of the divine assembly, symbolizing the victory of civilization over chaos.

Theories on the creation of the world?

Only one theory regards the origin of the earth, and it does not involve creation, only natural and known physical factors.

The planet, like all others, accumulated gradually through first electrostatic and then gravitational attraction, eventually building to a mass whereupon it could become spherical, and reached the point where its surface temperature had decreased to the point of allowing it to solidify.

How can you use occult to get money?

We can not recommend using occult for clearly dishonest purposes, however you could learn in advance which horse will win the next big race and put your money on it.

What does the creator of all look like?

In most surviving religions, the creator of all is seem as a spirit. Spirits do not have physical form, so it is not possible to see them.

Or, if the creator of all does not exist, as an increasing number of people are beginning to realise, then the creator of all does not look like anything, except in the imagination.

What is the value of human beings in the first creation story?

1) Humans are the pinnacle of Creation. That is why they were created last (Genesis ch.1).2) Humans are made in the Divine image (Gen. ch.1).

3) We possess a God-given soul (this is one of the meanings of Gen. 2:7).

4) We were given free-will and are responsible to God (otherwise, the warning in Gen.2:17 would be unnecessary).

Seeing God's wisdom

The Torah states that it was written in its entirety by one author, Moses (Deuteronomy 31:24), to whom it was dictated by God (Exodus 24:12), including earlier events.
The Torah has one creation-narrative, which takes the form of a summary (Genesis ch.1) followed by an in-depth recap (Rashi commentary, Genesis 2:8).
When we see a newspaper whose opening headline is paraphrased in the detailed story, we don't ascribe the repetition to different writers.

But this kind of literary device, which the Torah employs to enrich its text, has been used by Bible-critics in an attempt to reassign and divide up its authorship.

The Jewish sages, based on ancient tradition, identified many of the literary devices used by the Torah, which include:

- recapping earlier brief passages to elucidate,

- employing different names of God to signify His various attributes,

- using apparent changes or redundancies to allude to additional unstated details,

- speaking in the vernacular that was current during each era,

and many more. While Judaism has always seen the Torah as an intricate tapestry that nonetheless had one Divine source, some modern authors such as Wellhausen (the father of modern Biblical-criticism, 1844-1918) have suggested artificially attributing the narrative to several unknown authors, despite the Torah's explicit statement as to its provenance (Exodus 24:12, Deuteronomy 31:24). This need not concern believers, since his claims have been debunked one by one, as archaeology and other disciplines have demonstrated the integrity of the Torah. No fragments have ever been found that would support his Documentary Hypothesis, which remains nothing more than an arbitrary claim:

What were doves used for in the Bible?

Doves were often used for sacrifice mostly in the Old testament.

Why do people not believe in evolution despite the fact it is proven?

A:Evolution is well supported by the evidence, not 'proven'. Prove is a term mathematicians and lawyers use, not scientists.

Because their religious ideology blinds them to the fact of evolution and the theory of evolution by natural selection which explains much about the fact of evolution. go to the NCSE website for further enlightenment.

A:For many people, religion is part of their person identity - it is part of who they are. And some people accept no compromise with their religious belief that God made the world just as we see it now, and just a few thousand years ago. To say otherwise is therefore effectively to deny who they are. In these cases, proof of evolution makes no difference. It is far more important for such people to continue believing in a special act of creation than to adopt any rational but contrary position.

What is the Buddhist creation story of the world?

Well, its really pretty much like science tells it. Conditions came together such that everything was created. We Buddhists are all about cause and effect. So the Big Bang theory pretty much matches all that we care about how it all started. Otherwise we typically don't care about how it started. The Buddha actually said that any speculation on how everything started was pretty worthless as to how to end suffering and bring happiness to everyone.

What day did God create women?

It was on a Friday, Oranos was castrated by his son Cronos. From his genitals which were thrown into the sea, Aphrodite emerged, created by the sea foam itself.

"And so soon as he had cut off the members with flint and cast them from the land into the surging sea, they were swept away over the main a long time: and a white foam spread around them from the immortal flesh, and in it there grew a maiden...and came forth an awful and lovely goddess, and grass grew up about her beneath her shapely feet. Her gods and men call Aphrodite...because she grew amid the foam." Hesiod, Theogony, 185-200.

Should humans always protect life and never destroy it?

Life is a term that can refer to human life or to other animal and even plant life.

Of course, we must eat and will always need to kill in order to meet that need. Even vegetarians rely on eating vegetable life, and usually rely on killing pests and parasites in order to protect crops. On the other hand, we should always act to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity on earth.

Protecting human life is an ideal that is seldom honoured entirely. Nations do go to war, and war kills. Even otherwise civilised nations may have the death penalty for serious crimes, when the ideal of protecting life would mandate no more than life imprisonment for even the most serious crimes. And some even extend the meaning of the term 'life' to include unborn babies.

It is usually easier not to destroy life than it is to protect it. One can refuse to perform military duty, and perhaps even refuse to perform any work that even indirectly assists the military. In another example, not many have to carry out the death penalty on condemned criminals, whereas protecting the life of condemned criminals would require civil action or protests in order to have sentences commuted and the law changed. Not many would do this to protect the lives of those we despise. For those who believe that the term 'life' includes unborn babies, the opposite is probably true. It can be easier to engage in protests against abortion than to refuse an abortion in the unlikely event that one finds oneself in the difficult position of having to make this choice. Fortunately, as a man, I will never have to undergo, or refuse, an abortion but I can choose whether to protest at the actions of others.

It is the year 2010 how did people exist 6000 years ago?

This year, 2010, is 2553 in Thailand. People counted the passing years a long time before 2553 years ago, but we don't use those counting systems anymore. People existed 600,000 years ago, too.

Do scientific theories about the creation of the universe contradict Islamic teachings?

Islam's teachings on the origin of the universe are essentially those of Judaism and Christianity, and therefore face the same challenges. It is not possible to accept scientific knowledge about the origins of the world, while accepting the literal truth of the Quran and the Bible, although the Quran is arguably more flexible in this regard than the Bible. However, many devout Muslims have become recognised scientists, demonstrating that, ultimately, rational persons do adjust to the contradictions that may exist in religious teachings.

What do scientist believe happened 4.6 billion years ago?

Scientists believe that the Earth and other planets in our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a disk of dust and gas surrounding the young sun. This process, known as accretion, involved the gradual gathering of particles to form the planets.

How do young earth creationists explain the collisions and merging of galaxies within the 6000 year Biblical time scale?

The published opinions of Young-Earth Creationists focus mainly on terrestrial geological events, which they claim to have occurred in an impossibly short period. In the face of scientific evidence to the contrary, they claim that the physical evidence, even the half-lives of radioactive elements, were fundamentally upset by the supposed biblical Flood. As for extra-terrestrial events, most Young-Earth Creationists would not believe that these events really happened or claim that there is an, as yet undiscovered, explanation.

What are angelic creations?

The angels of God which are spirit & not flesh.

Do you believe in Creation?

Even if we ignore the creation stories of other religions, there are still two quite different creation stories in the Book of Genesis. In the first (Genesis 1:1-2:4a), God created all the other animals for man to have dominion over, and only then created man, both male and female. In the second (Genesis 2:4b-2:20), God created man (Adam) as the first act of creation, followed only later by creation of all the other animals as possible companions for man. The female human (Eve) was created much later than Adam. I believe that neither of these stories is literally true.

Of course, I could follow many modern Christians and believe that while the universe, the world itself and all life forms on it owe their existence to natural forces, but that God guided those natural forces. However, Stephen Hawking, in his latest book, The Grand Design, says that because there are laws such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing, with no role for God. I do not need to believe in God or in creation. For more information, please visit: http://christianity.answers.com/theology/the-story-of-creation

Why is man God's ultimate creation?

Because religious writers have called Man thus.
One must remember that man was already Gods children long before He sent us to earth. We were His spirit children. The fact that he sent us to earth to subdue it, also to have dominion over all thing makes us pretty special I suppose and the fact we are in His image.
