My friend has a dachshund and it can use her stairs quite easily, I have never heard of a dachshund having that problem.

I have a Dachshund Beagle Mix, she does great on stairs anyone's Dachshund i know can do stairs but i do know of one person but there dachshund got a back injury yours should be fine unless it gets a back injury

Due to their long backs they run a risk of injuring discs. They should use a ramp instead of stairs and never jump up on furniture or jump down from furniture. If a disc becomes ruptured the dachshund could become paralyzed. Special concern should be given due to this breed specific risk.

Yes! I have 2 of them myself, and they are very sweet and careful with children! If you have babies or young infants or toddlers, i suggest a long haired dachshund! Those are the most loving and caring kinds! Just make sure that the children are responsible enough, and are careful, because dachshunds are prone to back injuries.

I am a new breeder and i am just starting out and most all of the research that i have done says that average for a mini dachshund is 4 and for an average is 6. But there is no way other than having a vet do an ultrasound until she has them. Hope this was helpful.

A Chi weenie is a mixed breed between a chihuahua and a dachshund. These dogs only get about 5-10 pounds and 8 inches tall, but crossed with a standard dachshund and they can be bigger.
