Do you take the tape off before or after the paint dries?
Painter's tape should be removed after the paint "sets up" and before the paint completely cures.

well first of all you must have black walls and a ton of trippy posters on it. Or maybe even some splatter paint all over the walls, and also a bunch of lamps, different kinds. Like lava lamps, those fiber lamps, strobe lights,disco balls etc. You could even do graffiti drawings on the ceiling. And in every black light room theirs a stero, gotta be full of music surrounding every corner of the room. Pick up a good photographic book on the rain-forest from your library. Or check out artists that do paintings of the subject. I have seen jigsaw puzzles with that kind of design as well.
Once you have something to start with pick a colour for the walls. You can use a green or any of the bright, exotic colours of the flowers. Have your daughter make the choice as it will be her living with it.
Then use a projector to put the pattern on the focus wall (usually the wall the head of the bed rests on).

Before you start, you should always check with the owner of the building your room is in, be that landlord or parent, to make sure painting is allowed.
Then, when choosing a colour to paint your personal space (ie. a bedroom), it is best to look to your personal tastes. For example, if you like, and wear a lot of blue, some form of the colour will look good, and make the room feel more personal.
I cases where your favourite colour is very intense, for example, black, you may want to use it as an accent colour, perhaps in your linens, window treatments and maybe even an area rug, painting the walls a much subtler form of the colour, in this case, a grey.
Neutral colours, white, off white, grey, taupe and tan and safe, and if the room is in a rental space, you may want to go in that direction. However, in this case a pastel form of your chosen colour will still be more satisfying to you and acceptable to your landlord.
Depends on your personality if you ask me. If your outgoing, go for that bright red and black. If your not so popular and very shy, go for the beige colours. But if your emo, Black and white stripes are perfect. However, this is the sort of thing you want for your bedroom. Do adhesive removable hooks work on metal?
Adhesives work very well on most (if not all) metal surfaces as long as the surface is exceptionally clean and in particular free of oil or grease.
A general key that can be used when choosing an adhesive is to figure out if what you are sticking on is going to be able to move slightly or not.
Super glue is fantastic if it does not experience any hits or thuds. It does not budge, but a hit may crack it off.
An elastic form of glue works wonders if experiencing thuds or hits. It just stay put, but can not hold as much weight over time as super glue can.

Metal surfaces can easily be cleaned free of super glue. A razor blade or a sharp knife can be used to scrape it gently off.
Do not use super glue on painted metal surfaces.
The paint would be the weakest link and it will come off with the glue.

I would use a deep green color. As aqua is a combination of blue and green, with green predominant, a deep green makes a nice contrast with any shade of aqua.

Chili red has a slightly orange under-tone and peach is a pale variation on orange. As long as the two are in the same colour family you can get away with it, however, I strongly recommend using the peach on most of it and the chili as an accent colour.
