Well, it is VERY difficult to even become a Judge. You have to first attend Law School and become an Attorney (the more experience, the better) (Law school takes typically 7 years) So let's say you're an Attorney for 5 years. That's 12 years right there. Then, to become a Judge you have to do many things (can't remember, but it's a laundry list) and the city has to vote for you to become the Judge. You never know what competition is with you, so all that training could lead to you not being voted in as the Judge. it would obviously be 1000x more difficult if you tried becoming a Judge in a major/large city - such as Manhattan, Denver, Tampa, etc. Becoming a Judge in a smaller city would be easier, but like I said - to get to the point is tough. You must have tons of time on your hands.

Mouthwash is not a substitute for tooth brushing. Everyone should brush his or her teeth at least twice daily, and floss once daily. This is the minimum frequency necessary to prevent plaque build-up, and the cavities that can result. Mouthwash is used, not to prevent cavities, but to prevent bad breath. Since you're going to brush and floss, and you want to use mouthwash, it makes more sense to use the mouthwash after brushing and flossing, rather than before, since brushing and flossing stirs up bacteria and other malodorous debris.

All dental filling materials have a different coefficient of thermal expansion than natural tooth structure. Some are closer than others, but none are identical. A couple of things come into play -- one is that teeth flex slightly -- if teeth were totally brittle, and had no "give" they would always break as soon as there was a temperature difference. Again, this is typically not a clinically significant problem, and has been researched quite extensively. The closest class of materials in terms of coefficient of thermal expansion are glass ionomer materials, followed by gold, then amalgam, and the worst is composite (at least in terms of thermal expansion). When choosing a material for a restoration, there are multiple factors, and there is not a "one size fits all" or a single best material that is perfect in all cases.

I had a very saw jaw earlier this year. Not sure about my Lymph knots however I was told I had TMI - a swelling oin the jaw joint. Can be caused by grinding teeth at night and being stressed. Typically you take a prophylactic (treatment before there's a problem) antibiotic before dental work if you have any sort of implant (such as a joint replacement, or even a surgical screw), a heart defect or murmur. These antibiotics are thought to prevent bacteria from the mouth, which may enter the blood stream during dental work, from reaching the site of the implant and creating a "slime layer" or infection, or from causing bacterial endocarditis (a heart infection).

If it is painless then I seriously doubt that it is an abscess? If the antibiotics have not decreased the size then it could very well be just a bony protrusion that is just now developing and is normal. Another possibility is that it could possibly be the result of a cracked root on that tooth. I suggest that you have a periodontist check this out. An x-ray will show if the root is cracked.

Yes, but if it's really long and doesn't dissolve for a long time, then you should show your dentist/oral surgeon and they will most likely just say that it is a "loose stitch". Then they'll take some simple tweezers and pull it right out in a second. Don't worry... this happened to me today, and it didn't hurt a bit (and I am quite a wimp when it comes to pain).
