How long should you study or do homework between study breaks?
Studying through the night until the mush that is your brain starts dribbling out of your ears is never a good idea - you should take a break between studying and working on homework. How long you work is up to you.
If you are a making good grades and are good at studying, try working for 30 to 45 minutes, then take a 5 or 10 minute break to have a snack or do something physical. Doing exercise also helps wake your brain back up!
If you're having a hard time at school and find studying or homework very difficult, you'll need to take short breaks more often - work for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, then take only 5 minutes off. This will keep you alert and make you more likely to remember what you've studied.
If you have A.D.D. then you may want to work longer. Maybe work 45-60 minutes and take a 10-20 minute break. I also suggest listening to music to keep you distracted while you work (if you don't have A.D.D. then you will not understand what I mean by this but if you do then try it, you should be able to focus better).
If you have A.D.H.D., then I STRONGLY recommend getting up and doing something motion related; play ping-pong, kick a ball against the wall, skateboard, roller-blade, go for a bike ride, chase your dog around the house with a water gun,...
How Do You Know You've Studied Enough? When you can answer 90 to 95 percent of your practice questions or problems, or when you can repeat the facts without struggling to remember, then you've done a good job of studying.
To become an orthodontist do you attend some kind of ortho school after completing dental school?
All 50 States and the District of Columbia require dentists to be licensed. To qualify for a license in most States, candidates must graduate from an accredited dental school and pass written and practical examinations. Education and training. In 2006, there were 56 dental schools accredited by the American Dental Association's (ADA's) Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dental schools require a minimum of 2 years of college-level predental education prior to admittance. Most dental students have at least a bachelor's degree before entering dental school, although a few applicants are accepted to dental school after 2 or 3 years of college and complete their bachelor's degree while attending dental school. High school and college students who want to become dentists should take courses in biology, chemistry, physics, health, and mathematics. College undergraduates planning on applying to dental school are required to take many science courses. Because of this, some choose a major in a science, such as biology or chemistry, while others take the required science coursework while pursuing a major in another subject. All dental schools require applicants to take the Dental Admissions Test (DAT). When selecting students, schools consider scores earned on the DAT, applicants' grade point averages, and information gathered through recommendations and interviews. Competition for admission to dental school is keen. Dental school usually lasts 4 academic years. Studies begin with classroom instruction and laboratory work in science, including anatomy, microbiology, biochemistry, and physiology. Beginning courses in clinical sciences, including laboratory techniques, are also completed. During the last 2 years, students treat patients, usually in dental clinics, under the supervision of licensed dentists. Most dental schools award the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Others award an equivalent degree, Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Some dental school graduates work for established dentists as associates for 1 to 2 years to gain experience and save money to equip an office of their own. Most dental school graduates, however, purchase an established practice or open a new one immediately after graduation. Licensure. Licensing is required to practice as a dentist. In most States, licensure requires passing written and practical examinations in addition to having a degree from an accredited dental school. Candidates may fulfill the written part of the State licensing requirements by passing the National Board Dental Examinations. Individual States or regional testing agencies administer the written or practical examinations. In 2006, 17 States licensed or certified dentists who intended to practice in a specialty area. Requirements include 2 to 4 years of postgraduate education and, in some cases, the completion of a special State examination. Most State licenses permit dentists to engage in both general and specialized practice. Other qualifications. Dentistry requires diagnostic ability and manual skills. Dentists should have good visual memory, excellent judgment regarding space, shape, and color, a high degree of manual dexterity, and scientific ability. Good business sense, self-discipline, and good communication skills are helpful for success in private practice. Advancement. Dentists who want to teach or conduct research usually spend an additional 2 to 5 years in advanced dental training, in programs operated by dental schools or hospitals. A recent survey by the American Dental Education Association showed that 11 percent of new graduates enrolled in postgraduate training programs to prepare for a dental specialty. I'm thinking the dentist removed it because it was a baby tooth and it was probably in the best interest of the child to get rid of the abscess. Being allergic to penicillin shouldn't have anything to do with it. I'm allergic to penicillin also. There are plenty of other medications out there that fight infection. I don't 100% understand your question but the doctor may have removed the tooth because he felt the infection couldn't be treated properly. Regarding pain, they could have given her medication for that as well. ~ T

What is a negative aspect of being a judge?
Well, it is VERY difficult to even become a Judge. You have to first attend Law School and become an Attorney (the more experience, the better) (Law school takes typically 7 years) So let's say you're an Attorney for 5 years. That's 12 years right there. Then, to become a Judge you have to do many things (can't remember, but it's a laundry list) and the city has to vote for you to become the Judge. You never know what competition is with you, so all that training could lead to you not being voted in as the Judge. it would obviously be 1000x more difficult if you tried becoming a Judge in a major/large city - such as Manhattan, Denver, Tampa, etc. Becoming a Judge in a smaller city would be easier, but like I said - to get to the point is tough. You must have tons of time on your hands.

Is it best to brush teeth before using mouthwash?
Mouthwash is not a substitute for tooth brushing. Everyone should brush his or her teeth at least twice daily, and floss once daily. This is the minimum frequency necessary to prevent plaque build-up, and the cavities that can result. Mouthwash is used, not to prevent cavities, but to prevent bad breath. Since you're going to brush and floss, and you want to use mouthwash, it makes more sense to use the mouthwash after brushing and flossing, rather than before, since brushing and flossing stirs up bacteria and other malodorous debris.
All dental filling materials have a different coefficient of thermal expansion than natural tooth structure. Some are closer than others, but none are identical. A couple of things come into play -- one is that teeth flex slightly -- if teeth were totally brittle, and had no "give" they would always break as soon as there was a temperature difference. A second factor is that coefficient of thermal expansion depends on the amount of material -- i.e. larger/wider/longer fillings will shrink and expand more than smaller ones. In practice, fillings tend to be fairly small, so the expansion/contraction is small, and usually not clinically significant. The third major factor is that they still do expand/contract at different rates, and sometimes the result is microleakage. Microleakage is the leakage that happens between the filling material and the liner or adhesive layer that is on the tooth. Again, this is typically not a clinically significant problem, and has been researched quite extensively. The closest class of materials in terms of coefficient of thermal expansion are glass ionomer materials, followed by gold, then amalgam, and the worst is composite (at least in terms of thermal expansion). When choosing a material for a restoration, there are multiple factors, and there is not a "one size fits all" or a single best material that is perfect in all cases.

I had a very saw jaw earlier this year. Not sure about my Lymph knots however I was told I had TMI - a swelling oin the jaw joint. Can be caused by grinding teeth at night and being stressed. Mine was not helped by chewing. What did I do? had mushed up food for over a week - no chewing. Went and had several massages to relax the body / back and the jaw. Felt great. took some anti inflams and one small dimazapan for about 3 nights to ensure a deep sleep. All was great. Then I went surfing and the surf board turned in the water and was lifted up at force to the underneath of my chin with such force I saw stars ! I massaged my jaw for the next 2 hours to relax it and so far so good. If I feel a bit stressed and tension in my jaw I prod my fingers to where it hurts and massage. Good luck
