Yes some of them are but many of them , they have disorders or a mental illness that makes them unawear that what they are doing is bad.

They usually do because of the amount of stress on their mind because of their experiences

Depression can be different for everyone. For example, you can be sleepy, wish you weren't around, feel like there is a big weight on the back of your head, have trouble sleeping etc. There are medications that can help if you're prescribed them. If you are depressed try seeing a counselor or make an appointment to see one.

Do you mean probiotics as in through the food we eat? I wouldn't think that probiotics cause depression for several reasons. It is too extreme to simply say that probiotics CAUSE depression since there are still many studies whose purpose is to understand depression...I don't even know if there is a conclusively proven cause of depression, only symptoms that contribute to depression. I think probiotics are suppose to help with digestion so I'm not sure how that would even relate back to the chemical levels in your brain (sometimes when serotonin levels are low, people may be more prone to feeling depressed).

There are several right answers to this question, sometimes it is because the person becomes desperate for a cure. They know there is something in their life that is very, very wrong. The pills help for a while but only while they take the medication. They go off the meds and lapse back into desperation. Often a mentally ill person is led to religion by a fanatic, telling them the devil is living inside them, God is their only hope. Again, in desperation they follow.

If a person is feeling numb or really angry or sad the cutting brings a rush brought on by the endorphines that rush into the blood stream everytime the body gets harmed physically in some way. Sometimes they cut because they feel this great emotional pain inside them and they do not know how to articulate it so they cut so the pain becomes real and there is physical proof that there is some part of them in pain. Others commit suicide because they cannot or will not cry. They seen crying as weakness and suicide as a more honorable way out. They have denied themselves all possible release of their emotions.

Alprazolam is not generally used for depression. However, it is always best to be honest with your doctor. This way he/she can accurately access your symptoms and prescibe medications accordingly. If you took this medication and you really do have depression, just tell the doctor that. Especially if you felt that it helped. Alprazolam can be addictive though, if taken incorrectly, it is for short-term use. Maybe you can get a prescription for something more suitable for your symptoms. You may even want to see a psychiatrist, a doctor who specializes in these types of issues.
