Video streaming requires a streaming client - a piece of hardware that receives and decodes the data stream and turns it into a video signal. Increasingly, these streaming clients offer only HDMI outputs but there are still models that feature a composite video, an S-video or analog component output. All are analog signals and almost all analog televisions will have at least one of these inputs.

Take a look at the back of your television or look at the manual. Find out which inputs it has and then select a streaming unit that has at least one matching output.

There are several scenarios for using an externa TV tuner box. The first is if the Tuner box has a coax output (for channel 3 or 4) and the TV can be tuned to that channel it can be used in place of the TVs internal tuner. An example is if the UHF tuner is out (channels 14-69) it can be used to receive those channels. If the TV tuners VHF (2-13) and UHF (14-69) are out and the TV has an AV input (yellow-white and or red) the TV tuner box can be used to receive the antenna channels. Similarly the TV tuner box can usually also be set to receive cable TV channels by changing a switch on the box or changing a setting in a setup screen on the TV tuner box. The second instance (and this will become more important as we near the FCC analog signal cutoff date of Feb 17, 2009). All analog signals will be cut off on that date. Older TVs that do not also have the ATSC or QAM tuners in them will not receive antenna or digital cable signals. Many TVs sold after around May 2006 to present have those tuners built in. Virtually all HDTVs sold after that time will have them. The TV tuner boxes are available now, but generally are in the $150.00 - $200.00 price range. As we get closer to January 2008 we will see more of these offered in the market and will likely be much less expensive $40.00 - $50.00 range. The Federal Government has a program for issuing $40.00 vouchers for such TV tuner boxes and each family will be alloted up to two. Many consumer electronics shops and stores will have the boxes and be able to redeem the vouchers.

You just have to do is go to menu and got to channels edintig menu there u will find a button which will allow you to add some frequencies add frequency and watch the channel u want. similarly if you want to watch another satellite , so you only have to do is to change the diseq of your receiver .first add a new satellite for example Asia sat 3s than try to change your diseq it will work

Legally, no. However, technically it will depend on the technology that your cable company is running. Larger companies send signals directly to the cable box that allow or disallow specific channels. Smaller companies may have filters installed at your (their) address that allow specific channels to come through the outlets in the home. It's worth a try - but myself and FAQFarm don't endorse any type of illegal activities. Also note that the more up-to-date cable boxes have a unique address associated with them. They use the cable outlet to communicate the box ID with cable company, so they'll know what box is trying to receive a signal at an unauthorized address once it is powered up.

To program a Symphonic TV with an RCA RCR-612 universal remote, there are four codes which you can try. Those codes are 1033, 1038, 1046, and 1047. To try the codes, press and hold the TV button on the universal remote. After you enter the fourth digit, the power light will turn on. Once the light is on, release the TV key. If the power light turns off, you have the correct code and can now use the remote. If the light blinks, it isn't the right code and you need to repeat the procedure until you find the right code for your particular TV.

It won't hurt the CRT as long as you don't severly jar or shake it in the process. If the converter box is in standby, then the remote won't turn it on if it has dead batteries. If the converter is on, then it should keep operating as you would expect it to if the remote control isn't being used.

On the settings or set up menu the tuner might not be set to receive off air signals or might be in the cable mode or it might be in the analog mode and you no longer have any analog stations to receive. Check to see if you are in the digital and antenna modes.

Plasma televisions use phosphors to generate visible light. Although the technology is different to older CRT based televisions, the phosphor is common to both of them. Plasma televisions gained a poor reputation when they were first introduced because static images could cause phosphor burn in a short period of time. Phosphor burn is caused by high brightness levels on certain parts of the screen with the result that the phosphor is no longer as effective as it was, showing a dark shadow of the image that was left on the display for too long.

Since their introduction, the screens are far more stable and phosphor burn is not as much of a problem as it was. Despite the improvements, showing a high contrast static image for long periods of time can still cause image burning. For domestic use, this shouldn't be an issue.
