Does pioneer media receiver PDP R06G have digital tuner or do you need set top box?
You need a set top box as well as media receiver.
Why does a digital tuner for HDTV have a analog to digital converter?
The digital tuner also demodulates the normal analog broadcasting. The tuner outputs a analog composite video signal to Video Processing Chip. In that chip, there is a ADC to convert the analog to digital, then after procession, display the content on the screen
Why signal loss happens to dth during rain?
the transponders present in satellites which transmit signals towards earth uses frequencies within Ku band. Ku band is a special set of frequencies ranging between 10-15 GHz.
The main advantage of using this band is that the antena size can be very small and the recieving equipments are relatively cheaper.
These signals are of small wavelength due to which they are more prone to atenuation due to water droplets in the atmosphere.
In fact there wont be any solution for this problem too..:(
How do you split a coaxial cable?
I have done this before. I think it's called a splinter. What you do is take the main cable wire and hook it up to the splinter. Then there will be two spots on the other side of it to hook two wires. Hook one to one and the other to the other one. Then there ya go! =)
Is a 1080i TV compatible with 1080p cable?
Most modern LCD/Plasma TV's are capable of receiving and displaying 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p signals. Therefore your TV, if it can receive 1080i, should be quite happy with a 1080p signal.
The towers for DTV might be in a different location the the old analog transmitters were.
Most likely you are confused as to which way is forward.
LCD monitors are NOT faster than CRT's, CRT images move at the speed of light and have almost no input lag. LCDs have input lag and this is why good ones are so expensive.
How do you get rid of cablevision?
Call them and tell them you want to cancel service. Most cable services require a converter box to work, so they'll probably insist that you return their equipment, but that's about all there is to it.
However, nearly all TVs you can buy today do not have a built-in antenna, and if you have an older TV which does it is likely not compatible with HD digital signals. Even if you do have an HD antenna you can hook up, it is likely not going to receive more than a couple of channels if you're lucky. In my area ... and I live in the suburbs of one of the ten largest cities in the US, so it's not exactly a small market ... there are exactly two broadcast towers with reasonable signal strength where I live.
What is the cause of a VCR tape running too fast and the sound is like the chipmunks?
Probably dirty components in the VCR drive train.
If you can buy or borrow a VCR cleaning tape, run this through the machine a few times. If that's not enough, you need to have the machine cleaned by a professional.
Is it possible to convert YPbPr output to Coaxial output?
Not generally no. There would be no point. The easiest is to convert the standard yellow video out to coax with an RF modulator
What kind of gas is inside tv picture tube?
There are two main types of lights that are typically tube shaped:
DTV stands for Digital Television.
It is a new standard for high-definition television broadcasts.
Additional InformationCurrently TV stations are broadcasting in ANALOG and DIGITAL.Analog signals are waves (like radio waves), so broadcasters can only transmit one station on one wave (the old channel dial basically changed the frequency so you could see different channels).
Digital broadcasted signals are much more efficient. You can send a digital signal that contains multiple channels. A converter box, either separate or built into the TV, reads the digital signal and separates it into many channels. The picture is a better quality because more information can be stored on the digital signal. Analog waves are often interrupted by weather, buildings etc.
On February 17, 2009 all broadcasters, by law, must stop transmitting in analog and go fully digital. This means that if you have a TV with an antenna on the roof, or rabbit ears, you won't be able to receive a signal. To avoid throwing out your TV you'll need a converter box (the government is willing to pay for it by way of a 100% rebate)
Used to be a Joint Partnership with NEC, Now manufactured by Mistral and mainly sold in Target Stores in Australia.
Who builds venturer televisions?
venturer.com , A look at the web site will tell you alot. A search on the internet will tell you about the quality .
The name is only generic. It makes tv's for itself and GFM.
With parts mostly from LG
Lets take an example. The model number PDV28420C is made by Venture/GFM with all the parts inside of those from LG.
Main Logic CTRL Board EBR39594903
YSUS EBR50267901
LG EAY39333001 PSU
There isn't many reviews on this model. Since it is still in the working public.
But the repairs are starting to come in.
And they aren't looking good.
They are made of the less quality components of the LGE quality. Less testing was done in manufacture.
And from what I have seen. These set will only last between 2-6 before the end up in the heap pile.
Unless you don't mind throwing away a few hundred bucks ever few years for a television. Don't get these brand names.
They really don't invest in much time for quality as they do quantity. And this also falls for the odd named ones. Like Westinghouse.
The truth is, if it's too good a deal, probably it will have some issues.
But I have seen many recalls on the more expensive models as well.
Like on my $2000 dollar pioneer.
So what ever you do for these types of TV's, just get a warranty extension.
It's worth the extra cost for a free TV you will need later for sure.
