this probably occurred due to the fact that not all DVD players are designed the same. i have a number of DVDs in my DVD library which states on the DVD storage case that some features may not play in all DVD players. therefore, it depends on which brand of DVD player you have. if you continue to experience difficulty playing your DVDs, i would suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your DVD player for advice to your problem.

Since both are optical zooms, the 36X is more versatile and better as it covers 7.1X and beyond , depending on the need.so, in this respect the NikonP500 is certainly more advanced

If it is a recorder/player for the TV then DVD-R. If it is in your computer it doesn't matter. If you are having problems reading these disks, Your DVD recorder Requires Dual Format or is in need of replacement.

There should be a plastic tab on the tape cartridge that you can break off and prevent recording over whatever is already there.

That really depends on what one would want or would need in a surveillance DVR system. Surveillance DVR's can be as cheap as $99 or as expensive as $1299.

A commercial break is about to happen....

You hit the "pause" key on your remote control and have now froze the screen.

While the screen is frozen you will hear no sound at all.

A few minutes later you hit the "live" key on the remote.

The sound and picture now return to what is broadcasting live.

You have just skipped over a few minutes of tv broadcast.

Without hearing or seeing what was on (commercials!).

The problem is (a minor one), you may pause the tv too long or too short.

Too short and you will catch the remainder of commercial(s).

Too long and you will miss a portion of the broadcast (10pm news for ex).

Two things you can do if this occurs:

Rewind if you paused to long.

Or press the "pause" key again if you didn't freeze the screen long enough to avoid commercials.

Not all DVD recorders (DVRs) have an HDMI connection. If yours does not have one, then you cannot use an HDMI cable. You will have to use either Component (5 wires) or Composite (3 wires) cables to connect your DVR to your TV.

The answer to this kind of question is almost always printed on the back of the device near the power cord. Look for it.

If your laptop has a DVD burning `CD' drive in it. If not, you may want to configure it to another format like .AVI and burn to a regular CD burner. It may also require that you split the files so that they can fit on the CD, which means a complete two-hour movie may require two CD's to fit. Okay... Your question is kinda confusing me so I'm going to tell you how ALL WAYS and you choose on which 1 is the best! As a statement I heard that master engineers actually use VCRs as their converters to upsample their rates of their sound. How cool huh :D

First of all, you need a video card in the computer capable of taking a video signal in. And usually, with a good video card, comes the software you'll need to make things work. Maybe the camera came with some software for computer downloads too, and there's tons of free software for editing, etc. on the internet if you'll take the time to search for it.

In terms of picture quality, HDMI is the best, component next and S video worst.

DVD-R disks are the most common in use today and that's why it'll record -R disks. The older recorders didn't have the software embedded in them to record on an R disk, but the newer generation machines usually will. Without going into a lot of techno-babble,the `R` was a positive recording system and the `-R` was a negative recording system.
