First of all, you cant point a rotor button. Rotor buttons are mounted inside the distributor cap. You can point the rotor. The rotor is whats mounted on the distributor shaft and turns with the shaft. Remove the #1 spark plug. Disable ignition so engine doesnt start. With a helper bumping the starter, put your finger over the #1 spark plug hole and have helper bump starter until you feel air blowing by your finger. Now, using a large wrench or socket, manually turn the crankshaft and line up the timing marks to TDC. Your rotor should be pointing directly at TDC on cylinder #1. transman

1 Disconnect the negative wire to the battery. I did this to be safe.

2 Disconnect the oxygen sensor from the air intake. Do not pull from the wires only pull from the boot. Be careful not to break the sensor either

3 Pull the tube connected to the left side of the air intake off then remove the air intake.

4 Disconnect the map sensor and all other electric components that are attached to the manifold

5 Disconnect the cable that is connected to the throttle body (you do not have to take the throttle body off of the manifold to do this).

6 On the left hand side of the manifold there are 2 manifold support brackets loosen them up but do not take them off. When they are loose just pull the top part of the bracket that is connected to the manifold back and off the screws. .

7 On the right hand side of the manifold there is another support bracket that is connected to the throttle body. First take off the screws then where the support bracket connects to the cylinder bellow the manifold loosen the two bolts until you are able to slide the bracket out of the way.

8 On top of the manifold there are six bolts unscrew them.

9 Important! Before you remove the manifold to get to the spark plugs be very careful and remove the manifold by lifting it straight up and then pull it towards you slow. The reason for this is because there is a valve connected to the manifold directly in the back that you do not want to break. The tubes that are connected are long enough so you can take the whole manifold and place it to the right just out of the way so you can get to the spark plugs. (before changing the spark plug it is recommended that you take compressed air and blow away the dirt surrounding the spark plug area. This is done so that no dirt gets into the combustion chamber when you remove the spark plug.)

10 Once the manifold is out of the way disconnect the electric connectors that are attached to every spark plug. Pull them from the boot of the connector.

11 Repeat for all spark plugs - Unbolt the spark plug tube then pull it straight out and then with the spark plug socket unscrew the spark plug and replace it with a new one.

12 After the spark plugs are in on the left hand side of the engine in the back you will see a tube that says pcv. Remove the tube from the engine and unscrew the valve and replace it with a new one.

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the distriburetor rotates counter-clockwise.

remove tail light, remove burnt bulb, replace burnt bulb, test if it works, then put tail light back on....

If it's not in the glove compartment, check with the seller to see if they still have it. If not, check with your local dealership or check on a site like eBay.

Due to the design and parts availability, only the dealer can do much of anything with the Charger Transmissions.

I would not add any additive since you cannot check the fluid level, you may end up overfilling the trans.

Most likely. The dealer would charge you to use their parking lot, if they thought they could get away with it. The issue with Chargers and the transmission fluid level is that Doge didn't include (and doesn't appear to sell) a dipstick to check it.

Anything is better than stock. Personally, I'm a fan of K&N. People also seem to like the AirRaid and MOPAR CAI setups. The choice is pretty much up to how you want it to look under the hood.

There is not one. One can be purchased for $70. There is a small cap near the center of the engine in the back which says "for dealer use only." That's where it goes. The car purportedly will "tell you" when to add fluid. You will need a very small funnel.

Over time the tensioner may have loosened, in addition timing chains can stretch slightly and this can throw off the timing

The main fusable link bus is located between the battery and the left hand McPherson strut tower. It is an eight circuit wire harness. It looks like an octopus with tenticles. There are 5 grey, 22 guage wires, 2 orange, 20 guage wires and 1 green, 10 guage wire, all commonly connected to a main black wire with a connector that leads to the positive battery terminal. If you have a link that is burned out, first correct the short in that circuit, then replace just that link with a new one, tapping into the main black wire and the branch wire that the original kink was connected to.
