i have no idea what a dodge dart is but i know gtsstands for good times. No it stands for sport, the regular GT had a 340 in it the GTS had a 383.

All Chrysler V-8's have the same firing order, namely; 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Install the distributor so that the #1 wire is to the front of the distributor, with the vacuum advance situated towards the left (driver's) side. Most distributor caps will have "#1" cast into the plastic next to one of the terminal posts. If yours has two of them, it's because the same cap can be used on both big and small blocks, but that they turn in opposite directions. You should also notice a small arrow next to each number label to show you the way.

they were only built for racing and basically stripped down with only a drivers seat and plexiglass windows, they weren't street legal and if I remember right they weighed in at around 2,500 to 2,800 lbs.
