How do you put a V8 in a 94 dodge shadow?
anything is possible, but that would be almost impossible with out rebuilding the entire suspension and frame work of the car
You are right. A friend of mine did it and it was horrible. You would have to rebuild the entire front frame and everything. For all the work you would have to do, it really isn't worth the hassle. Alot of the parts you have to machine yourself or re-machine the existing parts. There are plenty of add-ons available for Dodge shadows that can give you in excess of 300 horses. Cheaper to go that way. besides..with gas being $4 a gallon, a V8 would beat the point of the economical lil car the shadow has been known for.
the easiest way is to go to any automotive parts store and they can show you your give you a copy of an origanal aftermarket diagram.
I rigged it using a washer and an e-clip. Works great and extremely cheap!
AnswerYou could re-solder the grommet back on it is not diffucult but it is hard to say if it will hold well. answerIf your problem is like mine, ('99 Neon w/ 5-speed) then the plastic bushing inside the cable eye is worn out but everything else is still intact. They make bushing replacements that fit into the eye of the original cable. BOOGER BUSHINGS is the name of one's you can get from howell automotive. $21.95 for a set. Go to www.howellautomotive.com then click on dodge neon and srt-4 parts then click on first gen neon '95-'99. Then click on transmission parts and you'll see a picture. I did a temporary fix on mine with a piece of rubber to replace the bushing at the tranny side of the cable. Now I have to fix the shifter side and I'm not sure if I can get to it. Do I get to it from inside the car or underneath it?ANSWER 2. The shifter cover back to the little cargo box has to come out. Ther ar screws on the top near the shifter and inside the little cargo box plus 4 bolts on the sides in the back seat with a snap in cover over them. Pull park brake and then the cover coes off but it is a struggle.
It could be a bad oxygen sensor or the wiring to the oxygen sensor. This is not the only possibility. Could be a computer issue. not sure what else.
If the spark plugs and O2 sensor are all black, then the injector may have failed.
Why wouldn't a 1991 dodge shadow with a turbo boost start you've tried almost everything?
My '91 Turbo has similar problems. It will mysteriously die going down the road. Sometimes when it is not warmed up yet, sometimes when it has been driven for hours. Sometimes it will quit at 60 mph, or when trying to pass, or when slowing for a stop. No rhyme or reason. You just have to pull over and keep trying to start it until it starts. Sooner or later it just starts and goes. It may do it 3 times a day or not for several months.
I too have found noone who has a clue to the problem.
AnswerA couple questions...are you able to check and see if you are getting spark when you experience the stall/hard start condition? If you are not, then you have to trace the ignition circuit. A faulty coil can give you problems like that. If you are getting a spark there could be ECM problems. There is also a chance that you are having fuel pump/system problems if spark is present. AnswerIf you check the spark and you have it, then you check to see if its getting fuel and you do. Then check to see if the time belt is moving. The access hole is on the passenger side of the enging at the top. there should be a black plastic plug in the hole. about the size of a nickel or quarter. pull it out and look in ther while somebody trys to start it. if it don't move when trying to start it. you have about a 99% chance you need to replace your timing belt. if you do it yourself. The belt isn't real bad to change but getting the engine in the exact right time is the hard part. and if its not REALLY close then it wont run.93 Dodge Shadow 3.0 V6 will not shift out of L Change fluids or a waste of time?
What car has an L as a shift letter... for automatic its Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive (or Over Drive if your car has Over Drive), 2 and 1... there is no L and for standard its gear 1 2 3 4 5... Is your car making a whinning noise, if so it might be the Torque Converter... if its not then the trans itself might have died on you... was the car slipping in gear and stuff before this happend? fluid change would be a waste of money if your not sure if its torque converter or transmission just acting up... my car was slipping, i went and got new fluids, gasket, even a tranny additive to help it shift better (didnt work) then the car ran fine for every bit of 4 days then converter died... are you using the correct fluids for the car, the Chrysler fluid that's recommend is ATF+3 or 4... they no longer make ATF 3 so you will have to buy ATF 4 for your transmission, if you was buying Dextron or Mercon hoping to say alittle money then that right there could have distroyed the transmission, the ATF+4 has additives right in it to help improve shifting, Dextron or Mercon doesnt. The price of ATF+4 has went down, it was about 6 dollars a quart and its now about 3 a quart so that's good right there... hope ive helped you have... Good Luck with your Shadow, i have a Spirit with a 2.5 and its transmission died all thanks to the torque converter.
If the car is equipped with a 4 speed automatic electronic transmission then it could be a simple problem. Second gear is the "limp in" mode when a
problem is detected by the control module. This could be a sensor problem, such as a PRNDL Switch. The switches are located toward the front of the transmission just above the oil pan. Check for a loose connection at both switches as this is a common occurrence, especially for intermittent problems. On the other hand this could be due to an internal parts failure.
How do you set the timing a 1994 dodge shadow not running?
where are the timing marks on a 94 2.5 dodge shadow es

Is there a temp sensor for the fan and where on 1993 dodge shadow?
Depends on which engine you have. On the V6, it is located just an inch to the left of the thermostat. Look for a single wire that connects with a right angle boot. And in case you do not know where the thermostat is located, look at the top of your engine. Find the hose that connects to the top of your radiator. Follow the hose to the engine. The hose connects to the the engine with a right angle connector. to the left of this connector is the temp sensor.
Where is the o2 sensor on a 91 dodge shadow?

Could straight antifreeze cause overheating in a 94 dodge shadow?
Not right away but can cause failure with coolant system components over a period of time that could produce a overheating condition. Very corrosive to metals as well. Recommend 50% water mixture to dilute anti freeze for proper protection.
Where is the turn signal fasher located for Dodge Shadow ES 1993?
I just replaced it on my daughters 94 Shadow and it's likely to be in the same place. Remove about 6 Phillips head screws around the perimeter of the lower dash panel under the steering column (and one inside the fuse panel cover), and lower it to floor. It was located in the upper right hand corner of the exposed area attached to the A/C duct. Disconnect the 2 wire plug. Remove the flasher module (by pulling downward). The replacement part will likely not have the the small oval tab at the top for mounting (I used the handymans secret weapon) so it wouldn't rattle around inside the dash. a zip-tie may work.
Shadows can indicate time through the position of the sun in the sky, a method exemplified by sundials. As the sun moves, the shadow cast by a gnomon (a vertical stick or rod) rotates, allowing observers to read the time based on the angle and length of the shadow. This technique relies on the predictable movement of the sun, making it an ancient yet effective way to track time during daylight hours.
Must you remove the entire dash panel to access the heater motor in a 1994 Dodge Shadow?
No, you don't have to remove the whole dash panel. Just remove the glove box and you will see the blower moter behind it. Just remove the cover and the vent linkage and the motor wil drop down once you have the screws removed.
Where is the low and reverse band adjustment in a 1994 Dodge Shadow ES 30 th transmission?
i'm not sure for that transmission, but i know for my trans, (GM 3T40) the band adjustment is the piston itself. if you look at the shaft on the piston, you might notice a couple of lines cut out on it. If so, that's the adjustment.
You have to take off the panel just under the steering wheel and in the upper right corner of the panel that you just took off, the flasher should be in there about the size of a marshmellow with three prongs. It should be just up from the left of the hot and cold control.
chances are...probably not...the 2.2 and 2.5 for the most part used the same tranny, but the years are way to far apart. Dodge kinda went this for interchange.....84-85, 86-88, 89-90, 91-93, 94-95...or somewhere about there.

How to remove starter from 1993 Dodge Shadow 2.2?
Starter is located in the back of the engine attached to the transmission, it is held in with 2 bolts and 1 nut on a stud... disconnect the battery before you start or else you might get some good sparks... getting to it can be a real knuckle buster... good luck
Where is fuel pump switch on a 1992 Dodge Shadow?
I think the relay is on the right fenderwell inside the engine compartment. there may also be a fan relay, an air conditioner relay in a row with each other. There is what they call the auto shutdown switch that controls the fuel pump. It is the first relay (from the front) on the drivers side fender.
