Unless the dog has some kind of gluten allergy, or is lactose intolerant and the bread had milk in it, though neither of those would kill the dog and might at worst need a trip to the vet if it was a very severe allergy, then Bread is fine for dogs, though a high calorie bread shouldn't be given to dogs that aren't given proper exercise to prevent the dog from gaining excessive weight.

If you perhaps have neighbors that have dogs and your puppy or dog likes to bark, it is normal but if you would like to stop them take your puppy to where the dogs are say "No!" whenever your dog barks try it twice a week and if you see an improvement, try rewarding your pet with a treat!

My answer would have to be the German Shepherd Dog. They are loyal to their family. A German Shepherd Dog is protective of property and it's "pack". Many will defend their owners with their lives if need be. They can also be very affectionate and loving.

Most pet stores carry an ante chew spray that smells like icy hot. wich you spray on whatever the animal is chewing on and the next time thay go to chew thay will change their mind real quick.

As a woman and a dog owner, I've had embarrassing moments where my rat terrier mix has brought something "fascinating" from the bathroom trash can in front of company. Dogs have a far more developed sense of smell than we do. Many of the items put in a bathroom trash can are doubly alluring, the objects smell like us or cosmetics and are "available".

Bathroom trash cans are generally low and open, easily accessible to dogs of any size.

What has worked for us in the bathroom:

1) We use a small metal can with a foot pedal. The closed can keeps down the smell & is difficult for most dogs to open.

2) Empty the can frequently

3) Keep little sealable bags to put used feminine products in

Other suggestions

1) In the kitchen, we use a small trash can under the sink. We open the cabinet and put the trash in the can. Our dogs don't open cabinets. You can also do this if you have room in the cabinet under your bathroom sink.

2) There are wire attachments that you can screw into the insides of your cabinet door so the door comfortably holds the trash can.

Strokes, defined as intracranial bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel in or around the brain, is actually fairly rare in dogs. However, signs of a stroke or other sudden-onset neurologic problem would include difficulty or inability to walk, abnormal gait or motions, uncontrolled muscle contractions such as spasms or facial tics, sudden changes in personality (becoming very depressed and withdrawn or reacting aggressively to non-threatening stimuli), loss of bladder or sphincter control, etc.

Regardless of the cause, if you see a dog having problems like this you need to get it to a veterinarian immediately for examination and treatment. The faster treatment can be started, the better the prognosis (although sometimes there is nothing you can do about it).

Any dog can be aggresive if not brought up right. As pitballs were first origanally bred for fighting, the fighting instinct can be brought in them if someone trains them to fight. But if brought up and raised well they can be loving dogs to the right family.

no dogs are not fishs, but ask yourself these questions:
Do dogs look like fis?
Do dogs eat fish food?

think about it not dogs are not fish.

It all depends on how they are raised. If they are raised with other dogs and children from a young age and aren't treated poorly, they tend to be gentle. But in a house with him/her as the only dog, no children, and 1 or 2 adults, they tend to be aggressive torwards other people or dogs.

It will get all over them unless they lift their legs to pee. More importantly, if it gets on the dog it will not "hit the spot" many canines urinate to display territory and show dominance. If it is on their leg- it does no good.

I was reading on this today. What I found is that dogs do mark their territory as the previous answer indicates, but they lift their leg higher in order to get the urine just a little higher to appear as though that dog is bigger (more status) the he really has. Is it true? I don't know, but it sounds plausible.

the is no such line i have researched for many years the lines of game dogs and have read every possible dogman interview and have never even seen such a bloodline anywhere although i have had interactions with people who claim to own dogs off this blood all without papers of coarse i feel that this is just another myth about pitbulls just like people that think all rednose dogs are old family reds as well as poeple breeding the so called blue nose pitbull or the so called bully if you do your research you will find that there are a lot of lies in the so called truth about about the pitbull terrier

its the way the jaw line is it will be small in the front and widen in the back

You can compare it too a actual gator mouth even the teeth dont line up straight in a gator mouth

I recently got a GoldenDoodle named Spike (very original, I know) for Christmas. It had been *many* years since I had to deal with a puppy, so trust me, I was getting frustrated pretty often. Although I didn't have too much trouble with him chewing his fur, I was fed up with a pretty similar thing - he was putting too much stuff in his mouth. Everytime I would leave him alone he would chew up *everything* he could get ahold of. I searched all over the internet and came across a site with all of the training tips and advice I needed. Female dogs ovulate a number of eggs at the same time. Those eggs don't know who is is planting them there, and the female is not all that picky (generally). If she mates with two males close in time, like the same day for example, she may become pregnant by more than one male.

Some tips on avoiding being bitten: At home: * Put screens on doors and windows * Use sprays indoors when mosquitoes are around * Use mosquito coils * Use a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide over beds at night * Turn on air conditioning if you have it - this is very effective at keeping mosquitoes out of a room Outdoors: * Wear a repellent cream or spray preferably containing DEET (diethyl toluamide); formulations containing less than 35% DEET are recommended because higher concentrations are no more effective (they just work for longer) but in rare cases may cause poisoning. Repellent should not be applied to wounds or irritated skin. * Vitamin B does not prevent mosquito bites. * Wear protective clothing such as long sleeved shirts, long pants and hats to minimise skin exposure. Clothing can be treated with repellent. * Wear light coloured clothing - ticks and other insects are more easily detected on a light background and tsetse flies are attracted to dark, contrasting colours. * Use screens on tents * Avoid places where mosquitoes are most active, such as swampy areas

It depends on the age of the dog when it is neutered. If the dog hasn't started lifting his leg to pee and you get him neutered chances are that he will never lift his leg to pee. If the dog is older neutering him will not "fix" this problem. No. Dogs mark their territory and if you have had a female dog in the house (even a female cat) they will often mark their territory, but it they were trained correctly from the time they were a pup then they shouldn't be doing this. I have a male dog, a female dog and a female cat and my male doesn't mark his turf in my house. When he had accidents as a pup I would take him to the paper down the hall (I paper train and also train outside for my pets) and have had no problem. My girlfriend has an English Sheep dog and never bothered to train him correctly and now he urinates on the edges of all sofas. You can go to any local pet store and get a spray to stop this behavior.

Too much candy is bad for not only dogs, but humans as well. But I do think that Candy is especially worse for dogs since they are more sensitive to sugar. So try and not feed candy to a dog. Keep in mind you should never feed chocolate to a dog, as this can be fatal to them.

A dog may be aggressive because it was abused in its youth. When a dog is abused (beaten, hit, tortured, etc.) it will become aggressive as a way in which to defend itself.

Some aggressive dogs can be treated and re-trained by professionals. Some, however, cannot and are usually put to sleep.

It's easiest to start with your dog in a sit. Hold a treat in front of his nose to get his attention. When he is interested enough to follow the treat with his nose, slowly lower your hand straight down in front of his paws. When your hand reaches the ground, slowly move it forward (in the direction you want his paws to move so he can lie down fully). Simple, but what do you do if it doesn't work with your dog? Try this alternate technique. Sit on the ground with your knees raised and your feet on the ground in front of you. Reach under your knees with the treat and get your dog's attention. Draw the treat back under your knees and let him follow it. In order to get under your knee, he'll have to lie down. That's when you give the treat and praise. Let him nibble on the treat while he is lying down. Gently scratch his back at the shoulders. With your hand in this position you can easily catch him if he tries to stand or sit up. It's not much use to have a dog who lies down and then immediately pops back up again. You want him to lie down and stay down until released, right? To teach him to stay lying, hold him gently in position while he nibbles and you praise, for a couple of seconds. Then give a release command like "that'll do." This command gives him permission to get up and do whatever he likes. Don't use a common word like "okay" because you'll say it in ordinary conversation often and this will confuse your dog. Once you give the release, stop giving the treat and praise, and let him get up. Give reinforcement (treats and praise) ONLY while he is in the down position. If you give the treat after he gets up, you are reinforcing getting up. You want to reinforce lying down, so give the treat while he is lying down. Gradually build up the amount of time you have him stay down until he can do it for 30 seconds. This will probably take several days. When he can, go back to short stays and cautiously take a step away, and then right back again. Slowly build up how far you can get away from him while he lies down. Eventually you'll be able to ask him to lie down where ever he is relative to you and to stay down as needed.

Another contributor said: make sure your dog is comfy, and a little hungry. be prepared with treats [sausage or cheese are great, but any will do] using a treat, get your dog into a sit position. wrap your hand around the treat, then put your hand between the dogs front feet. slowly drag it towards you, and the dogs nose should follow. as soon as your dog lies down, say LIE DOWN! and give him the treat and praise. practice this about 10-15 times, then you can try it withought the treat. if your dog makes a mistake, say 'uh-oh!' and turn your back on him. First, teach your dog to lay down by holding a treat in your hand. have your dog sit, then lower the treat to the floor and then after a few times he will lay down. soon, after a lot of practice, he can lay down with a motion of your hand going down.

Another contributor with another answer: You tell the dog "Lie down (insert dog's name here)" in a firm and unwavering voice. When the dog lies down, you reward him/her with a doggy-treat. If the dog does not seem to know what you are talking about, keep telling him to lie down until he gets it. Then reward him. If the dog still does not get it, then take both hands and shove him down into a lying position. Reward him. Keep doing the above three steps as long as necessary. Do not stop, ever! Sooner or later, that dog is going to lie down when you tell him/her to do so. Don't forget to reward him/her for the effort. Do not ask the dog to do his "Lay down" trick without his/her reward.

I still don't know. But it's not neccisarially bad or dangerous so don't worry. we have a German Shepard Male and my dads friend is a breeder. They bred together and had only one healthy happy pup. As of now it's only several weeks old.
