It depends on the intelligence test used. Intelligence tests for animals usually involve tricks, and rats score higher than cats on those tests. But critics say that those tests don't accurately measure cat intelligence. Studies have shown that rats are capable of "metacognition," (see related link) which was previously thought to belong only to humans and certain primates. Rats remember things, and even have a social interaction that might be called laughter. But rats are also studied a lot more than cats, so scientists know more about them.

Considering that rats have metacognition, and they also learn similar to the way humans do - and as cats are not smarter than humans - it would show that rats quite possibly are more intelligent than cats. This answer and opinion is also based on the fact that Pigs are as smart as a 3 year old, and they say rats are quite close behind pigs with intelligence.

After owning many cats and rats in my 31 years, and watching them play and learn, rats are definitely smarter. Cats are smart only with things that are within their instinctive nature, or that have become a habit to them through long repetition, whereas rats learn many things that are outside the normal for an animal to learn. If you owned one, you would be quite surprised as to what you can teach them, and teach them very quickly too.

if your trying to teach it to sit push down on the butt a little till it is sitting down then give it a treat do that for about 10-30mins that worked for me i dont know if it will work for you if you are trying to teach a dog to lay down hold a treat down on the floor/ground then the dog will have to lay down to get it that also worked for me if you want to teach it to speak hold some treats in your hand the dog will make a sound[most of the time]when it does give it a treat

Usually you will get a Black nose Pit bull. Depending on domanant Ressesive Genes on the Sire and Dam's Side to both new parents, depends on what color. I ave a rednsoe Male that will Produce Albino Puppies, With no natural defects. Sometimes you will get a blue nose, depending on is the red nose has a parent that has a blue nose, it can be known to have a red nose or a blue nose puppy when breeding a blue and red nose, but 85% of the times you will have black nose puppies. And Also, Color depend on the Gand Sire and Grand Dam from Parents to choose what color, build, or Features, And sometimes it can go down the pedigree, don't necciserly the Grand parents, sometimes it can be the great x7 grand parents, If they happened to be Blue, some puppies will be blue, if they are red, you can produce reds. It all depends on ressesive genology.

Pitbull" is not a breed. American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier are the breeds that are generally called pit bulls. rednose pits or blue pits are terms back yard breeders make up to con people out of more money for their pups. these are only colors.

Ignore the top comment, when people say "pit bull" they mean the American Pit Bull Terrier, however over many years the term pit bull have been used to describe any breed that look like the real pit bulls. These are uneducated people. Pit bulls come in all colors, red, blue, black, white, chocolate, etc. Because pit bulls were originally bred for what they could do not color. But over years idiots got their hands on the breed, and only bred for color, head size, etc. That completely destroys the pit bull and what they were originally bred to do. So when you see someone advertising, blue pit bulls or red pit bulls, with big heads and wide chest. DON'T buy these dogs, these people just want your money and don't care for the dog. Never get a dog for looks but for what they can do. And besides these dogs are usually unhealthy since they have been bred to dogs of the same color over, and over again, which leads to genetic problems.

Dogs barking is like humans speaking, its simply their way to communicate.

What the dog will do depends on the individual dog. Some might try to initiate play, some might just be curious and want to check the cat out, while others may want to attack the cat in an aggressive manner.

Your dog may have a harder time digesting their dog food. You might want to change to a more moisturized food, and make sure there is water available at all times. Talk to your vet for more details.

If your dog is a very good eater, and isn't right now, it would be a good idea to get him checked out. He could have swallowed something that's causing a blockage, or the intestines sometimes twist, which, untreated, will end in death! Potato, rhubarb, and tomato leaves; potato and tomato stems Contain oxalates, which can affect the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems. This is more of a problem in livestock.

Two male dogs will compete for a female in heat because they want the right to mate with her. They will often fight to the death to make sure the other dog does not father the puppies. When a female is in heat, the males will become agitated when they see another male dog.

It is because You are not taking him outside as often as you think you are. Or...your giving your dog too much food and letting the food just sit out. Set a time where you feed your dog. two or three times a day is fine. Your Dog will poop when he cant hold it any longer. So take him outside very often until he goes poop.
