It's okay to let your dog eat grass, but not all the time. You see, grass makes a dog's stomach feel better, but if you let your dog eat alot of grass, it will cause him/her to poop and/or throw up.

Whenever a dog attacks or kills another dog or person, it is actually the owner's fault. This is because it is the owner's responsibility to socialize and train the dog so that it can function in human society. If an owner does not do this, then a poorly socialized dog runs the risk doing real harm to others. Well if you mean when their on heat...it's not like their sick so just take care of it just as you normally would. Fresh water every day, excersize, food ect.But it might be a good idea to put and old towel or two where it sleeps, because when dogs are on heat they can bleed from you know where.

Never feed your dog anything with onions or garlic in, any drinks with caffeine or alcohol, grapes/raisins, milk or any other dairy products such as cheese, macadamia nuts, candy or gum, chocolate, fat trimmings from meat, persimmons, peaches and plums, and foods high in salt or sugar, yeast dough and human medicine.

Ferrets have been known to play well with household cats and some non-aggressive dogs, however, great care must be taken when introducing ferrets to any other household pets. Certain terrier dog breeds even have a heightened instinct to grab and kill ferrets.

Dogs that were bred for hunting, for example terriers, even if they have never been used for hunting, still have a natural instinct, should never be around ferrets. Trying to introduce a grown aggressive dog would be too stressful for a ferret. But a puppy that has been raised around ferrets will most likely be safe with ferrets.

Ferrets get along with cats better than any other animals, especially if introduced as a kitten. An adult cat, it depends on it's temperament or behavior. An adult cat can easily harm a baby ferret and vise-versa, closely supervise grown a ferret when playing with a kitten. Ferrets will readily approach other animals, without fear of their own safety.

Ferrets are fearless to the point of foolishness and should not be allowed to wander. Whenever they are outside, they should be closely supervised and preferably kept on a harness leash designed for ferrets such as an H-shaped harness. Their curious nature also leads them to place themselves in situations where they will confront and try to play with larger animals outdoors that may be dangerous to the ferret.

For dogs, humping is not only an expression of sexual desires, it is also used to try and gain dominance. Recently after the neuter, the dog may still have some hormones in its system but it is a good bet that it is a dominance issue. With some obedience training, your dog will be more sure of you as a leader and most likely the humping will cease. Good luck

Well, first you can get a dog that was MADE to be a guard dog like German Sheperds mostly the big dogs. The only dog that is small and is made to be a guard dog is a Snhowzers. They may be tiny but they have very sharp teeth. I have seen one at a pet center and it started biteing me and my mom same exp. with the Golden Retriever.

Now to TRAIN a dog to be a guards dog is a tad hard. Try talking to it and say protect this house and do test. So, pretend to be a burgerlur or something and see if your dog attacks. If not try giving it a treat and loving it and it might love you back. Then it will love you back so your dog won't let anything hurt you. I hope this works for you.

Well some dogs have a "natural smell". I had the same problem with my dog and went to the vet and just to be told, 'oh that is her natural odor'!! So we asked 'but it stinks?!' 'oh no that is her natural smell!' It kind of stunk but hat is okay we are used to it now. Also try using a shampoo and bathe them. Or at stores some of them sell these awesome sprays that I love!! In so many smells and are smell and are like a body smell or perfume for us, humans, but they have made some for dogs, and it makes them smell good. Good luck though!!

It depends on who the breeder is, but, Chihuahuas can be high strung and nervous. Chihuahuas are "lap dogs" and need constant attention. Perhaps there have been changes in your home such as: You've been on a vacation and left the dog with a sitter or in a good kennel. You may have had guests in your house to stay for a few days or, you've been busy socially. You could have had children around. I don't allow our family or guest's children play with my two dogs unless I am right in the room. Children don't mean to be rough, but sometimes are, or, if the breed of dog is small it can make the dog hyper and upset. Polydactyl means having more than the usual number of fingers or toes. Most Cats have 5 digits on each paw. A polydactyl has extra digits, usually 6. Cats are not the only animal to be considered polydactyl. In fact people may also have more than 10 fingers or toes!

Ok. first of all, I'm not saying that beagles are not good pets because they are! but I think that they arent very good for very young children. They have a reputation for being very stubborn and they play pretty rough when they're puppies. They would be ok for children over six, but if you have an infant or small toddler I'd suggest a Retriever or Labrador. They are very kind and fun loving! And they learn fast, too! They're easy to take care of and they are very loyal and protective of their humans. They tend to think of small children as their pups. Ok, now about the boxer, you have to be carefull with those. They are very cute and kind most of the time but if you plan to get a boxer for a family with small children, it's much safer to get a young puppy straight from a breeder. The reason for that is if you get a dog from a rescue shelter or pound, it's much more likely to have aggression problems in it's lifetime. That's, of course, because rescue dogs have usually been abandoned or abused so they have every right to be somewhat tempermental. So if you want a boxer for a family with a young child, you're better off getting one from a breeder rather than a shelter. Hope that was some help!

My female puggle gets hiccups, its just like as if & when we get hiccups, but not that loud! for example she will be sitting there & then start to get hiccups and since her mouth is closed her head goes back (kinda like when one sneezes) and her belly expands and you hear a slight hiccup, it will happen a few times in a row. She did it more frequent when she was a puppy and now it rarely happens.
