How many parvo shots does a dog need before he can walk outside on grass?
My vet told me, they can go outside 2 weeks after their 3rd series of shots
Why does a six year old dog start pooping in the house when he knows how to go outside?
This most likely happens when no one is home, huh? If he has to poop, he can't hold it like a human. If someone was home with him, they might have ignored him when he wanted to go out. Dogs don't usually go hide & poop when someone is there to let them out.
Does diabetes effect your pooping and peeing?
Yes, diabetes tends to cause gastroparesis, or a slowing down of the emptying of the stomach and progression of food through the GI tract. This would be expected to cause constipation. In many cases of diabetes, polyuria (excessive urination) may occur as a higher concentration of sugar in the urine will cause water to follow it and result in more urine being formed. If you are concerned you are diabetic, an HgbA1c (glycosylated hemoglobin) test and fasting insulin level, along with a glucose tolerance test, will provide evidence for a diagnosis. I don't know specifically about deification (pooping), but it certainly does urination (peeing). One typical and mostly universal symptom a person with undiagnosed diabetes have to contend with is frequent urination. Your body produces substances known as "ketones" when blood sugar levels become too high. This process is your bodies attempt to regulate insulin levels. Ketones are released in the urine as a form of "buffer shedding," and many times new cases of diabetes is diagnosed, in part, by how much sugar or ketone bodies are present in a urinalysis (a pee test looking specifically for certain chemicals dissolved in urine). Ah normal urinary and excrement are fairly normal circumstance. The addage,
you are what you eat is viable . Diabetes is very serious no cure , if unchecked can kill you , educationis necessary for a stable lifestyle, Sugar bad bad for the human body.
If a male dog is fixed can he get unfixed?
No, because when he gets, fixed they cut the testicles right off of the poor guy.
Expanded Answer:
Male dogs are fixed by a procedure known as a bilateral orchidectomy. This involves the removal of both testicles.
Reversal would require replacement of the "original equipment" (which is unlikely as organs are viable for only a short time after removal), or replacement with a donor organ (which might provide breed specific genetic material if from a similar breed but not hold true to the bloodlines unless a male sibling was the source). This second procedure could be very costly.
If you are into replacement just for looks, there are neutricles (prosthetic testicles made of silicon) which will duplicate the original appearance but not the original function.
On the edge of science - a new set could be grown by using the dog's stem cells. This procedure will likely not be available for many years (or seven times that many in dog years)
Where should you put your cat's litter box so then the dog will stop eating poop?
You can try a litter box that has a cover on it. I know there are some out there that also have a door on it so the dog would have to stick it's head push the door in in order to get to the feces...
Unless trained to do otherwise, dogs will usually bark at wild animals. This occurs when they cannot get physically close enough to examine it, or when they confront it.
How do you potty train an 11 week old puppy?
If it uses the bathroom in the house then take it outside and tie it up for about an hour then bring it back in every 30 min to an hour you should take the dog outside and let it try and use the bathroom when it does use the bathroom outside then give it a treat. It will take a couple weeks but that is the most effective way. Under any circumstances do not hit or scold the dog it will actually do worse for it. Yes always works better than no.
Will tapping my dog's nose stop him from whining in the car?

A small dog that doesn't bark or shed that weighs less than 12 Lbs?
Shih tzu is perfect. and yorkies are too but the are yappy dogs
Why does your dog always growl at other dogs even when the other one is submissive?
Is just making sure he got his point across, dogs fake submission all the time. Plus dogs have moods that take time to change, wont go straight from happy or angry to normal.
Generally your dog shouldn't show aggression towards other dogs, and it wont if socialized enough with other calm dogs.
How do you get a dog from going to the bathroom inside?
Aah...potty training. :) It can be a very exhausting task, but here's what you should know first of all (and prepare for a lot of info):
When a dog is about to go, it'll usually sniff the ground in a circle. My pup would just sniff the ground for a longer time than usual (no circling, to make things harder), so to be safe, I would always take her out right when she sniffed for more than two seconds.
When your pup has squatted...it's too late. By then, #1 or #2 is probably all over your carpet! Don't scold your puppy if you suddenly find an accident and you don't know when he/she went; your dog will not know what it did wrong! However, if you catch your pup just about to squatt, tuck its tail between its legs to hold back what's about to come and rush out the door! Put it in a certain spot and praise it heavily if it goes. Remember you should ALWAYS go out the same door and put it in the same spot (even if it moves to a different location to do its business).
If you have a puppy...they need to go VERY often! They need to be taken out after feeding/drinking, playtime, after a nap, right before nighttime, and first thing in the morning! Use the signs above to know when they need to go.
Basically, potty training is just plopping them outside whenever you know they need to do their business. Soon, they'll get it! Be patient, kind, and scold when you need to scold...
Good luck! I've been through this exact same thing and sometimes it can be very tiring, but it's quite a relief and reward to finish through with it!
If you mean basenji then no they can only make a sort of yodeling sound.
SAR dogs are "Search and Rescue" dogs. They are specially trained to track and find lost people. SAR dogs were used in the World Trade Center disaster to search for victims buried in the ruble of the twin towers.
Dogs have 25 times more olfactory receptors than humans do. Their noses are structured to process scents efficiently and their brains are wired to interpret olfactory information better than human brains. Dogs can sense odors at concentrations nearly 100 million times lower than humans can. For example, they can detect one drop of blood in five quarts of water.
SAR dogs are trained to use this superior scenting ability to help their human handlers find missing people. They might search for a child or mentally challenged person who has wandered off, for a person lost after an accident, for a victim trapped in debris, or even for a person who has been abducted.
I think there might be more ways but I am not for sure aobut it.
Work with him everyday. Start small, with low jumps, and everything. Build up confidence in the tunnel and encourage the dog to run.
Also, Flatwork is important. You can look it up on Google.
Should you cover a crate when dog is in it?
Usually, it is not necessary to cover the crate. It depends on the situation.
If the dog is not expected to sleep, leave the cover off so that he can see whats going on around the crate, like if it is a puppy being crate trained.
If the dog is expected to sleep, but his surroundings are distracting, a cover may be useful to block out disturbances.
If the rest of the household is calm (for example, at night), a cover is not usually necessary, but if the dog is being noisy and refuses to be quiet, a cover may be useful to calm him/her down.
However, it would be best to use this as only a temporary solution. Ideally, the dog should be taught that noisiness in the crate is not an acceptable behaviour.
First of all, you NEVER rub a dog's nose in its urine or excrement. It will cause horrible nasal and eye infections, and the dog doesn't have a clue as to why you would be doing such an unnatural and cruel thing to it. If your dog is crawling toward you and urinating, it is obviously scared to death of you. I would question why your dog should be so afraid in your presence. You need to learn to treat the poor animal with kindness and gentleness so that it will no longer feel the need to subjugate itself in front of you by urinating (which is a submissive behavior).
Can anything be put down on the floor to stop a dog from going to the bathroom on the floor?
There are sprays to detour them from eliminating there.
Your best bet is to hire a trainer to help you housebreak the dog though.
How do you indoor train your adult dog?
Well my dogs use the puppy pads you get at Walmart and i leave it on a place they usually go to the bathroom on so they go on the pad and if you dont want them to go to the bathroom while you are gone put them in a cage with their beds because a dog never goes to the bathroom on their bed
Why is your dog chewing on her leg?
My dog does it because his allergies make him itch like crazy, if I were you, I would take your dog to the vet, it could be a rash.
Why does your dog roll in rabbit poop in the yard?
They roll in it for the same reason they'll roll on anything "smelly"... it's a hunting instinct. Dogs do that to mask or cover their own scent.
