Can medication cause thrush?

Good question, but not usually. The common medicines that can cause yeast infections are antibiotics.

Your vagina has a very tempermental pH balance of good bacteria and yeast. Both are there all the time, the yeast grows and the good bacteria eats it. They naturally maintain a healthy level of each.

However, when you take antibiotics, this medicine kills off any kind of bacteria, even the good kind living in your vagina. Now, this is good because it will kill the infection for which it was prescribed, but will also kill off good bacteria- leaving nothing to balance out the yeast. The yeast builds up and causes a yeast infection.

Pain killers shouldn't disrupt the balance of yeast and good bacteria so you should be safe. Here is a link to help you better understand yeast infections and medicinal interactions... https://www.msu.edu/~eisthen/yeast/causes.html

What side effect of activated charcoal requires medical attention?

Not in me. It helps my anxiety immensely! I assume it binds all the neuro-toxins in my gut that cause anxiety. It keeps them from being re-absorbed by the body. I recommend you drink psyllium husk at night and a little more water so the charcoal doesn't bind you.

I am not a doctor and my advice is not professional in any way. It is not meant to cure or treat any illness either.

Article (web) "Introduction to Organic Laboratory Techniques" (author Donald L. Pavia, and others), states that "in the 1970's a metabolite of SC, cyclohexylamine, posed some potentially serious health risks, including cancer", and was withdrawn for use in the United States therefore.

I started taking Zoloft about two years ago. this past spring break i used the patch version of Dramamine and it made me absolutely worse. I was sweating, shaking, virtually in tears. I called my dr and he told me to take the patch off. When i took it off i could feel the difference immediately. i wasn't shaking, sweating or anything. I still had to sit in the front because of my car sickness, but NO don't take Dramamine if you are taking Zoloft

Amoxicillin with clavulonic acid is "Augmentin" and an antibiotic. All antibiotics cause GI upset (nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, indigestion) - with this one, you should have a good meal in your stomach before taking the medicine. Also when you are taking antibiotics, it helps to eat yogurt daily, or take Lactinex or some other brand of live bacteria tablets in order to prevent a lot of the diarrhea caused by the antibiotic killing off the "good" bacteria that live in your gut and help you digest food. There are numerous more specific side effects to this drug including the peeling of skins on your fingertips and toes.

What are some legal hallucinogens with no side effects?

Everything that works on your mind has the potential for side effects. Just make sure that for your drug of choice you know what these are before hand, and plan for them before getting high - for your first time using anything hallucinogenic make sure to be with someone you trust to help you out if you're having a bad trip.

Technically shrooms are legal (in the UK at least) if they are not processed, since they grow wild - processing includes cooking, drying or chopping the shrooms. The only legal way to use them is whole and raw.

How many spoon fulls of cough syrup to get high?

This depends on how you define "high". Note that the none of the components of courgh syrup are intended for recreational use. And the high is pretty unpleasant. But since you ask, here are some sied effects:

  • Antihistamines in cough syrup make you sleepy -- REALLY sleepy.
  • Some of the painkillers (when they use an NSAID) can, in overdosage do some pretty serious liver damage.
  • Some tests, the results of which I doubt but are still out there, show chronic usage actually lowers the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on tests and appears to reduce intellect.

That's about it for psychoactives in OTC cough syrups. None sound like fun to me, and you can't really tell when liver damage will set in. But then I'm not you.

My advice? Take all meds within the prescribed dosage.

What is belladonna?

Belladonna is a highly toxic plant, that grows in Europe. It's botanical name is Atropa belladonna. Another name for it is deadly nighshade.

Children can die from eating two to six berries. The poison in belladonna brings your heartbeat up, killing you that way. However, foxglove(not belladonna), brings your heartbeat down. So, in theory, foxglove can be used as an antidote for belladonna, and vice versa. However, it is not advisable, as you could mess up, and kill the person anyway.

Belladonna is called belladonna because belladonna is Italian for 'beautiful lady', and in the olden days ladies used to squeeze the juice from the berries into their eyes, thus making their pupils dilate and look larger. The ladie though that looked beautiful. The poison that does that is called atropine, and is still used today to examine eyes.

Sorry for the long explaination. That's just me. And I am only eleven. And I just remembered that off the top of my head, I didn't just read a book.
