Your weight, height, eyes, ears, nose, heart will be checked. They will also call for a full workup of blood and if your a male they will check your scrotum and if your female refer you to a ob/gyn. They will also ask you about your eating, sleeping and physical activity in addition to if you smoke or drink alcohol and how much. They will do a test your urine for specific things, too.

Ultrasounds are fairly accurate - a fetus at 12 weeks is very small. A 22 week fetus is fairly large. They measure how big bones are, and the distance around the head. There is no mistaking a 12 weeker for a 22 weeker.

nine months from May 7 is February 7. So around then.

January 21st 2010? Your conception date would be roughly May 1st 2009 (give or take 5 days)

My educated guess would be that your last period began around June 30 so ovulation probably ocurred about 14 days later which would be July 14th. I think the greatest chance of conception ocurrs around ovulation time like 3-5 days prior to or up to 2 weeks after ovulation.

The first day of your last period is where the OB/GYN will calculate your due date from. Like say you get pregnant near November 5th, your due date would be around August 11th the following year. Also the OB will do an ultra sound to determine how far along you are and to help them figure your due date.

That is very dependant on both the current health of the baby and the mother. I delivered four healthy babies at 33 +4 weeks, with no long term complication. From memory after 29 weeks there is a 90% survival rate.

If July 20th was calculated as your due date early in your pregnancy the date calculator works. However if your baby was born at term on July 20th and you are working backwards from that date you could be 2 wweks out either way.

It is unlikely that they would be that far off. They're often off by a couple of days or weeks, but not usually 1 1/2 months off. I strongly suggest that you speak to your doctor about it for more information.

Absolutely not. The later in pregnancy the less accurate the scan. The first two giving a due date of October 2nd will be correct and give you a conception date of around January 9th.

An ultrasound does not determine the date of conception it compares the size of your baby with the size of other babies at the same stage of pregnancy. It said my first was smaller than I expected, about a week out, but he was born on the date the scan suggested weighing over 8 pounds. With my second (twins) it was spot on, they were born 4 weeks early, one of average weight and the other rather small. with an ultrasound it determines your due date due to the size. go to your last period, and minus 2 weeks. say you are due on the 30. minus 7 days, which should be the beginning of your last period. since your last period, on the first day is 2 weeks from ovulation, minus 14 days. now the day is the 9th. 5 days before and sometimes 1 day after is when you are fertile. that is your conception area. 30rd - 7days = 23rd - 14 days = 9th. this is the day you ovulated. From the 5th to the 10th you were fertile.

March 3rd 2009? Then your due date would be roughly Tuesday December 8th 2009

It all depends on a woman's cycle. Is she is in a 28 day cycle, a 30 day cycle, a 23 day cycle. Also depeneds if the baby was a full term baby. You can conceive and have a baby in 7 months to 9 months. Some cases even less time. So there's many factors missing to give an answer.

If by fetal age you mean age from conception, yes they do because a pregnancy is always measured from the notional last period, even if you don't know when it was. I.e. from conception, pregnancy is 38 weeks, whereas from the LMP it is 40 weeks. An ultrasound does not add or subtarct form your due date. One method of calculating the EDC (Estimated Date of Confinement) is to calculate from the first day of the last menstrual period, since not all women ovulate on a regular basis, this is not always accurate. The ultasound calculates the EDC by measuring the size of the babies head, the bone length, crown to rump length, etc. None of these mentods can say exactly when the baby is due. Even if a woman only had sex one time and it is known exactly when she conceived, there is no guarantee she will deliver on her due date. The EDC is an estimate as to when the woman will deliver, the fetus will usually deliver within two weeks of this date.

Based on a normal gestation period of 40 weeks the conception was on March 5th

if they can see anything it would be very accurate, the problem is at this point the baby is usually in the head down fetal position and there is not alot of room in there to move around and being able to see anything at all in that area can be difficult, i had an ultrasound at 32 weeks and the tech said i could offer her all the money in the world and she wouldn't be able to tell the sex at this point (i already knew at 20 weeks, its a boy)
