Richard Moreau, AKA The Master, is the final boss of Fallout 1. Born in Vault 8 (later known as Vault City) he was exiled, changing his name to Richard Grey, and joining up with a trader called Harold. While searching for the source of attacks on Harold's caravans by mutant animals, the pair stumbled across the Mariposa Military Base, within which had been created the FEV, Forced Evolutionary Virus.

Inside, an accident caused Richard to fall into an FEV vat, where he remained for a month, mutating into his current form. He developed the ability to absorb other creatures, including people, to increase his intellect. He also perfected the procedure where normal humans are dipped in the vats, to create super mutants.

Along with his allies, the Children of the Cathedral, Grey worked to increase the numbers of his super mutant army. He believed that once everyone had been turned into a super mutant (joining his 'Union'), there would be world piece.

There isnt actually a companion that stands out as being better than the rest, they each have their ups and downs. It all depends on the situation. If your talking about the companion with the best strength, the answer is Lily as she is a super mutant and can use a variety of amazing weapons.

I personally go for Boone, as he as the most varied over a large number of area's e.g. He is good with guns and his personal Machete.

Out of the humanoid companions (Ones that arent human). I think it depends on what you want. Once you upgrade Rex, he can deliver powerful and fast unarmed attacks and easily injure the enemy, however he can easily be killed. Ed-e only uses a small laser weapon, which deals much less damage than Rex, but Ed-e is much harder to kill.

I had the same problem. Here's how to fix it:

Open up Device Manager in Control Panel

Open Human Interface Drivers

Right click Microsoft ehome infrared transceiver

Select Uninstall

Your cheats should now work using the ` button (mine is left of the number 1)

Note: Everytime your computer is restarted, you'll have to redo this step since windows reinstalls the transceiver).

The two items are in different conditions, which are indicated by the CND bar in the bottom left corner of the screen when you have that weapon equipped. to increase the condition of the weapons, you can either use on to repair the other by bringing up your Pip-Boy and pressing Y on the weapon that you want to repair and clicking on the weapon below it when the repair menu opens up, or you can go to a character that repairs items like Moira Brown and have them repair the item for caps.

No. Chasing Benny is just the first part of the main quest, and he is a minor antagonist. From there the main quest splits into different lines, to support different factions for the final part.
