Can you be firefighter with a felony?
Short answer is no. Now depending on where you are, it may be possible. It all comes down to when it happened. Were you a juvenile? Are your records sealed? How long has it been since you committed the felony, 10 years or more? Regardless of where you fall in, most departments aren't going to want to touch you with a felony on your record. The big ones are violent crimes and sexual crimes, you will not get a call back if they show up on your record. My best advise is to be upfront with whoever you are applying with, if it pops up on your background check it will look like you are lying. The only exception to this is if your records are sealed. In which case you are not required to disclose. Just make sure you can pass a polygraph.
What conditions must exist for a fire to occur?
In strictly theoretical terms, there must be fuel at a combustion temperature, with enough oxygen to support a flame, and a source of ignition to start the chemical reaction we know as "fire."
For example, paper can be ignited at 451 degrees Fahrenheit but will not ignite when heated to that temperature unless there is enough oxygen.
Gasoline, on the other hand, has a flash point of minus 40 degrees, meaning its fumes can be ignited at any temperature higher than that, but only if in the proper concentration (between the lower and upper flammable limits). In other words, there has to be enough oxygen in the mixture to allow the gasoline fumes to burn.

What are 2 main sources of danger that can cause injury or death in a fire?
When inside a burning building, you are at risk of: being heavily burned, asphyxiation (from inhaling too much smoke), all sorts of stuff falling on top of you, exposure to flammable household elements (propane tanks in the garage, gas lines--unlikely, even a water heater--also unlikely but you never know), etc... your local fire department can give you more reliable information. Just remember to get as low as you can and head towards an appropriate exit. If you can't get out at the moment, wait somewhere structurally safe--such as a doorway--until the fire department can extract you. Again, it is always important to get below the smoke. GET DOWN.
Do you need a check valve at fire department connection?

yes, because many modern fires contain chemicals and other elements that burn hotter, and are often not affected by water. foam works better because it is specifically designed to put out fires that are either not affected by water, or become more intense when water is added, much like grease fires that arise when cooking.
Thermal energy is produced when firefighter slides down a pole where does it come from?
The potential energy (due to the fighter's position in the Earth's gravity field). This is converted into kinetic energy as the fighter begins the slide and this kinetic energy is turned into heat energy by friction as the fighter slides.
