Is the St John Ambulance a good supplier of first aid training courses?
My view is extremely biased, but from personal experience, they are not too bad. But if you want a first aid course that gives you the basics you need to help someone on the street, their courses do not cater, as far as I know.
The British Red Cross have, this year, introduced a new course called Everyday First Aid - these one-hour courses give you all the practical skills you need to save a life, without all the in-depth details that you really don't need to know about to help someone who is bleeding. You don't need to know the different types of bandages you can use to help their bleed, all you need to know is to put pressure on the wound and lift it up above their head.
So if you want the in-depth stuff, their courses are good, but ours are just as good! :)
If you want practical skills - find a red cross centre near you, ask them about everyday first aid (or look on the website) and get yourself on a course to learn how to save a life!

Consent to give first aid must be obtained from every victim who is?
Conscious. An unconscious victim is assumed to want first aid assistance, since they are incapable of giving consent.
Consent must be attained before a rescuer may touch a patient. Failure to do so can result in prosecution from the patient.Given consent - The adult, (18+), patient that is conscious can give consent directly but a parent or legal guardian must give consent for a conscious minor or a mentally handicapped patient.Implied consent - The unconscious patient can be helped without consent but a rescuer should ask / look for their next of kin first.I Got Oregano Essential Oil in my eye .What do I do?
It's an oil, so water can't do much to break it down. Happened to me. I flushed liberally with olive oil. Any harmless oil will do. It will dilute the essential oil. Then wash with a mild soap. The soap will break down the oil, stinging less than the oil, but will wash everything out more easily and sting less. Water will then flush all that away. Another method is milk or yogurt. The milk fats will break down the oil as well.

Within moderation, not at all. Eating a HUGE, spicy meal that upsets your stomach could potentially be problematic, but a normal meal is just fine. The stories of cramps from eating before swimming are wives' tales.
What if your knee is puffy No pain?
Sounds like a minor internal injury rather like a bruise. If there's no pain, icepack it and consider aspirin/ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling. Ice packs are 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off. Ice is great for swollen knees. If you can't get the ice to comfortably fit the knee, try a package of frozen peas (really -- no joke :} ). If the problem isn't gone or at least greatly reduced in 24 hours, ask again, or check in with your doctor.

Can you still tumble with a mild ankle sprain?
You can, but if you want your ankle to heal quickly then you really should rest it. A sprain is painful, and tumbling will hurt. Plus depending on the intensity of your tumbling, some tumbling (like back-handsprings or tucks) require the tumbler to have strong ankles. When your ankle is sprained, it is not at its full strength. So you need to be careful, because tumbling with your sprained ankle could lead to more injuries. I really suggest that you rest your ankle, put as little weight on it as possible, use ice and heat when needed, wrap it, and give it time. When the pain and swelling goes down a little, start tumbling little by little. You'll be back to tumbling in no time, though, so don't worry. A sprain takes much less time to heal than a fracture does.
