How many 16x16 tiles are needed for a 300 sq ft floor?

300 sq ft X 144 sq in/sq ft = 43200 sq in

43200 sq in /(16 in X 16 in) = 169 tiles

That is true if the tiles fit exactly. If you have to cut some tiles because the length or width of the floor is not an exact multiple of 16 inches, then you may need more.

How many 20X6 inch tiles dose it take to cover 900 square feet?

20 inches = 20/12 ft = 1.67ft

6 inches = 6/12 ft = 0.5ft

1.67X0.5 ft = 0.83 sq ft.

Therefore 900sq ft / 0.83 sq ft = 1080 tiles

However the above answer is how much is needed without waste. I.e. no partial tiles for the perimeter.

How many 16 x 16 tiles are needed to cover 320 sq ft?

To make it easy to calculate I am going to convert everything to inches assuming each tile is 16 inches by 16 inches.

I can imagine a 320 sq. ft. room as a 16 feet by 20 feet room. (16 x 20 = 320)

16 feet = 192 inches and 20 feet = 240 inches

The area of the room in inches is 192 x 240 = 46080 sq. inches

Each tile is 16 x 16 = 256 sq. inches

Divide the area of the room by the area of 1 tile: 46080/256 = 180

180 TILES MEASURING 16 X 16 IN. ARE NEEDED TO COVER A ROOM 320 SQ. FEET

How many sheets of 4x8 plywood do you need to cover a 16x18floor?

A 4x8 sheet of plywood covers 32 sq feet. You need to cover 16x18 which equals 288 sq feet. Divide 288 by 32 and you will need 9 pieces of plywood.

However, don't forget to add for waste. Usually 10-15% unless your room is without obstructions, walls, etc. For this job, you may need at least (1) additional sheet to complete the project.
