Why the high heel worn by a lady leave impression on wooden floor?
High heels create a concentrated point of pressure on the wooden floor due to their narrow design and the weight of the wearer. This pressure can leave impressions or indentations in softer wood types, especially if the heel is sharp or the floor is not adequately finished. Additionally, the force exerted by the heel can compress the wood fibers, leading to temporary or permanent marks. Over time, repeated exposure can exacerbate the damage, making these impressions more pronounced.

How many 8x8 inch ceramic tile will you need to cover 443 square feet?
443 square feet = 443*12*12 = 63792 sq inches
Each tile = 8*8 = 64 sq inches
So minimum number of tiles required = 63792/64 = 996.75 or 997.
However, that assumes that almost all the offcuts can be used. In real life it would be sensible to have more tiles to allow for breakages and wastage.

21.333 tiles --> 22 tiles
How many 3 x 6 tiles are needed to cover 10 square feet?
Area of a 3 in * 6 in tile = 18 sq inches.
Area to be covered = 10 sq feet = 10*144 sq inches = 1440 sq inches.
Therefore, minimum number of tiles required = 1440/18 = 80 tiles.
That is the mathematical answer. In real life the number of tiles required will depend on the shape of the area to be covered and, possibly, its exact dimensions. It will depend on the extent to which offcuts can be used and on breakages.
