How many 16 x 16 tiles are needed to cover 320 sq ft?
To make it easy to calculate I am going to convert everything to inches assuming each tile is 16 inches by 16 inches.
I can imagine a 320 sq. ft. room as a 16 feet by 20 feet room. (16 x 20 = 320)
16 feet = 192 inches and 20 feet = 240 inches
The area of the room in inches is 192 x 240 = 46080 sq. inches
Each tile is 16 x 16 = 256 sq. inches
Divide the area of the room by the area of 1 tile: 46080/256 = 180
180 TILES MEASURING 16 X 16 IN. ARE NEEDED TO COVER A ROOM 320 SQ. FEET

Why the high heel worn by a lady leave impression on wooden floor?
High heels create a concentrated point of pressure on the wooden floor due to their narrow design and the weight of the wearer. This pressure can leave impressions or indentations in softer wood types, especially if the heel is sharp or the floor is not adequately finished. Additionally, the force exerted by the heel can compress the wood fibers, leading to temporary or permanent marks. Over time, repeated exposure can exacerbate the damage, making these impressions more pronounced.

How can you strip mop and glow?
Most flooring stores have a product specifically for the removal of no wax products like Mop and Glow. But it is a lot of work. That no wax finish can build up to the point that it may take several applications of the remover, a scrub brush and a lot of elbow grease. I was on my knees with a toothbrush in some areas trying to get it all off. And you have to make sure you get it ALL off or your floor will look worse.
Answer
Ammonia and water may do the trick. Use two buckets: one to rinse the mop and one to get fresh ammonia/water.
Can you install laminate flooring over linoleum?
You can but it would not be recommended. It would be beat to insure there is proper under layment before putting new floor down. Be sure to follow manufacturers recommendations in regards to foam or tar paper prior to installing laminate floor. This will help keep the floor quiet over the life of the floor.
-
No linolium is a very smooth surface product which will cause laminate to slide and eventually cause joins to fracture. All laminates should be on a sound sub flooring with an anti slip membrane places under it. The subfloor should be checked for level and solidness - holes and divertes need to be filled. If the subfloor is wooden then loose boarding need to be SCREWED down not nailed so that these boards do not cause squeaking and movement.
