Absolutely. Most DVDs hold less than 5gb of data (dual layers less than 9gb) while hard discs today can hold many terabytes of data.

If you are trying to access a Windows partition on your hard drive, this is not easily possible from DOS. DOS can only read FAT partitions, while modern versions of Windows typically use NTFS. Also, DOS cannot access hard drives on a SATA controller unless the controller is set to "Legacy" or emulation mode.

A floppy disk is a storage device. There is often confusion about this, as the user could be seen to be "inputting data" by inserting a disk or "outputting" by removing it, but in actuality the floppy disk is a storage device.

OKAY!i think the answer is yes it does because as the heat generates it makes the disk hot and it tends to make mistakes in the floppy disk.I just think this is the correct answer but I am not sure,though.

Turn the floppy disk so that the metal ring with the two holes is facing you, and the metal shutter is pointed towards the floor. Look at the top left corner. You will see a plastic tab. When the tab is open (creating two holes at the top of the disk), the disk is write-protected. When the tab is closed, the disk can be written to.

to do this you must first save what ever is on the floppy disc onto your computer or laptop and then transfer the file from the floppy on to an empty CD disc and then it is done
