Who are the members of Celtic woman?
The group known as Celtic Woman are actually five women. At one time they were:
Alex Sharpe, Chloe Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lynn Hilary, and Mairead Nesbitt. Mairead is the fiddle player. The others have changed periodically. This configuration is not the current make up of the group. Lynn (and perhaps Alex) are not performing with the group any longer.
What are the function of folk songs?
My opinion on this would be:
Folksongs contain important information, messages, stories and history from the past.
Important lessons are learned from them and are transferred from one generation to the next. The elder generation passes these onto the younger generation. This thus bridges the gaps between the generations.
It is fun and universal to sing. When many people in the community sing folksongs in unison, it creates a positive and happy atmosphere.
Takes you back to one’s own traditional or cultural roots. Not forgetting where you come from. This is to ensure that the history and foundation of these songs will be remembered and shared by each generation.
Reminds us of who we are, where we came from and also warns us of possible outcomes or consequences if we do not watch our actions and intentions.

What are the lyrics for Reward by John Jacob Niles?
Reward
I lay my love at your feet, my dear, and the long years pass as long years do...
Bitter and long; bitter and long!
I lay my love at your feet, my dear, and my rewards were few; very, very few.
I lay my love at your feet my dear, but after all, who am I?
A very little thing, a very small thing, as the world calculates the value of valuable things.
I lay my love at your feet, my dear, and the long years pass as long years do...
Bitter and long; bitter and long!
When one fine day; one fine day you gathered me up!
And your arms were strong and your lips were warm, and I saw a world of which I had never dreamed...
It was a world anew... A bright, lovely world anew!

Chorus:
Rim rim under the red rock rim... under the red rock rim...
Mary a star shines down... down in the ground she lies... under an earthly mound... that's where her spirit lies...
Chorus:
She was young so fair... cheated and lied you see... (Next verse inaudible)
Chorus:
Lonely as he can be... riding on endlessly... lonely as he can be... his spirits never dreams...
Rim Rim under the red rock rim... that's where to look for him... Rim Rim under the red rock rim... that's where to look for him... under the red rock rim...
