-You should open 2 screw in front of air filter box

-Disconnect two air pipe connected to the box and a tiny pipe as well(these are very easy)

-Disconnecting the box from engine is the more difficult part of work you think that you must break some things so you have to pull the back part of the air filter box firmly ,I pull the right first and disconnect that then the left pin is easyer(there are two pin which keep this box on the engine)

-Underneath of the box are 10 screw that you need to open them to reach air filter(you need a long wrench,about 5 cm length which i bought from Pound Land or a simple screw driver)

-The rest is very simple

If you have the mk5 then the mk5 zetec-s bumper will fit straight on. If you have the mk4 the zetec s bumper will need cutting and trimming to make it fit but they do fit with work. Best way to check if you have a mk4 or 5 is by the lights. If you have the same shape lights as the ZS then you have a mk5 if not then you have a mk4. P.S. that was for the front bumper. Im not 100% sure on the rear. The ZS rear will fit straight on the mk5 and I have been told they fit on the mk4 with no work at all but I cant be 100% sure as iv never done it.

THE FORD GUY SAYS` remove leather gater from hand brake you will see a 10mm nut, tighten nut a few turns then try and a bit more and try again, you want 4/5 clicks, good luck!

Take the horn off and connect directly to the battery.If it doesnt make a sound its goosed.Failing that have you punched the steering wheel lately?.Then id check the wiring.If you cant check wiring yourself a local autoelectrician should take care of it in under 10 minutes.Or have you been through any puddles lately hope this helps.Auto electrics my passtime :)

I have the same problem with my 1996 ford fiesta, the textile layer is hanging down.

For the moment I just pinched a needle in it so it isn't touching my head, but my approach to really reparing it would be buying a can of quality spray glue (e.g. 080808 or something from 3M), take off the roof handles above the doors and, if necessary, the sun visors.

At least in my Fiesta I would then be able to spray the glue from the back of the car (open the boot) to the front between the roof lining and the textile. Then stick the textile to the roof lining with a piece of cardboard to smootly attach the textile to the roof lining without creases (like they do when applying a sticker to a window).

Yes you can but its loads of work and will cost you a bomb. They 1.25 engine that you have is a Zetec engine and the ST is a Duratec. You will need to make new engine mounts and take everything from the ST over to you 1.25 including the ECU. To be honest it be a hell of a lot cheaper buying a ST and be cheaper on the insurince as the ST is standered and it would be classed as a highly modified car on you 1.25

I have a 1996 ford fiesta lx which had its fuel filter cleaned about a month ago...it was getting sluggish, low revs and the engine would cut out and come back on.

Didn't have any problems after it was cleaned - felt much smoother to drive, better revs and no cutting out! Until today...my drives to work are only short (5 mins) so the engine always stays fairly cool. Was driving around a lot today, only local driving at 30mph. Was probably driving round for about 2 hours or maybe more and I noticed the driving started to feel a bit judderish and sluggish. i also noted the engine was getting warmer as it came off the cool mark and then again..the engine cuts out 3 times on my drive home but i had to stop this time to restart the car. I only noticed it had cut as the dashboard lights came on. The engine also sounded a bit strained...it was really working to get up into 2nd gear which I thought was weird. Any ideas?!?!

Under neath the alternator the are 4 ten or 6 mm in the housing and two pipes coming out of the housing where the thermostat in dont forget to replace the gasket around the housing

Even if the indicators are slow the relay should still click on and off. just open the relay box, turn indicators on and remove relays one at a time until indicators stop. The relay is usually a fairly large one. Hope this helps.

This is quite easy unless the car has been lowered (use ramps). I did it today. You will need a 19mm and 14mm wrench, safety glasses, a drip tray and possibly a pair of pliers.

The fuel filter is located on the passenger side, inline with the diff. At the back end of the car. The filter is housed in a bracket. You do not need to remove the bracket. Place a tray under the filter. Use a 19mm wrench to hold the filter in place and a 14mm wrench to "crack" the connection on the passenger side of the filter. Chances are fuel will just leak out but wear safety glasses anyway. The fuel leak is OK. Unbolt the connection.

On the other side of the filter is a clip. Push the clip towards the filter and squeeze the flattened sides, pull the filter away from the clip. The flattened side panels may have been broken in which case, come at the clip from behind and from an angle with pliers to squeeze the clip.

Now the filter is no longer connected, place the new filter back inside the bracket, from the passenger side. To do this you need to angle the bracket. Reconnect the clip, hand tighten the bolt and then a quarter turn with the 14mm wrench and all should be good.

Start the car, it will stop. Start the car again until the engine fires and help yourself to a beer.

if you see the coin cubby storage thing to the right of the steering wheel, grab it at the bottom and pull out toward you, fuse box is behing there... just pops out and then clips back on

mk3 fiestas dont have a timing belt it is done by a chain tis chain will probably outlast the engine however if the timing is lost the chain is lose and is a big job to change it best looking for new engine it will be easier to change engines wja

Hot wire... although I don't know how... You're supposed to do friction on two purposely cut wires in your car... well if is YOUR car install a remote starter! if not then you have to brake the key cilynder and do what you got to do.(don't try it)
