A possibility is that the idle air throttle control is probably sticking. It is on top of the throttle body. I recommend replacement, this should fix your problem. Your question raises more questions: What do you mean by 'kick down'? Are you talking about the Transmission not kicking down? If so.. probable problem is the Throttle Position Sensor on the opposite side of the throttle bellcrank. Otherwise, if you are meaning the rpm wont kick down to normal, then there is a good chance you have a vacuum leak or, as said above, the ISC is gummed up or defective. To check for vacuum leak, disconnect ALL vacuum accesory tubing at the manifold EXCEPT for the Fuel pressure regulator. Plug those manifold ports and try it. Other possibilities are binding throttle cable/ trans cable at the throttle. DO NOT adjUst that throttle stop screw!!!!

USUALLY the key and tumbler in this model is held in by a supporting pin on the front or the back of the key and tumbler. Push the pin in with a small screwdriver or an awl. the pull it out. Put the new key and tumbler in the same way push it in until the pin locks in place then turn the key to see if it works. If it works you are finished!!

the line is connected to the carburettor if you have one or to the intake manifold after the throttle valve. The purpose is to connect intake vacuum to the booster.

the year is hard to find. but the displacement is usually on the engine or even in am emblem on the back of the car. like the 3800 series GM motor is a 3.8

It's under the driver side dashboard on the left side of the steering column. It's mounted to a bracket. You need to remove the plastic panel just below the steering column to access it. Remove the three bolts at bottom of panel then carefully pry top of panel straight out from dash. Flasher is mounted on a bracket at left side of this opening, directly above emergency-brake pedal.

They are extremely rare! If you find one, hang on to it! Just kidding! All Thunderbirds with the supercharger as well as Cougars with supercharger have DIS...Distributor-less Ignition System. The computer fires the plugs without a distributor cap or rotor.

the fuel filter is on the bottom of the car on the passenger side about half way down the car and there should just be a fitting on the back side that has a white clip you can just pop out with a flat head screw driver and the front side has a stainless braided hose that requires a specialty tool for the fittings I believe the size of the tool is 3/8 you should be able to get these tools at any part store

The starter solenoid is physically mounted on top of the starter motor itself.

usaully its one of the four sensors. mines always go out right before the smog check. fairly easy to replace.

There is a fuel pump relay and there is an enertia switch that is the fuel shut off. The enertia switch on my 95 is in the trunck on firewall behind carpet (left side). I have not yet found my fuel pump relay.
