i believe that you should get someone as special as you best friend something from the heart. getting the usual things - clothes,jewelry, gift cards, money and things like that are not very important. I was looking for something to get my best friend this march, and i thought of a slideshow with pictures and music. etc. i also thought each of her friends and mine could say a little something and creating it into a big :movie: kind of thing. something that comes from the heart. so a homemade thing would be a great idea for a best friend :)

Occasionally, when you think about a 12-13 year old girl in general, they're kind of at an awkward stage. They're still trying to figure out their interests, as well as their style and personality. The answer to this question really depends on what the style of the 12-13 year old you're talking about is. So, if I may make a pretty general statement, the "preppy" style, or, "Ivy League Look" is really in right now. 12-13 year olds tend to follow trends. I think that the 12-13 year olds themselves take a little twist on preppy. They are a little bit trendy, but tend to stay on the preppy side. To give you some actual clothing stores...

1. Abercrombie and Fitch- Abercrombie has really cute clothing, and is mainly targeted towards young adults (ages 13-17). Their clothing is mildly preppy, and draws the sales from 12-13 year olds very frequently.

2. Jcrew- JCrew is personally one of my favorites, and it draws the attention of any preppy kid. They have absolutely adorable clothing in both the kids and adults sections that will most likely fit a 12-13 year old.

3. American Eagle- this is mostly a store for age 15-21, but can definitely work for a 12-13 year old if you pick out the right items. They also have great selections of jewelry like cute earrings, and necklaces.

4. Johnnie B- Johnnie B. is an add on of the company Boden USA. They make their clothing in England, and it's very narrowly cut. They have some cute and funky styles that can appeal to all sorts of 12-13 year olds, no matter what their personality is. This store is clearly directed to age 12-15 year olds, because of their sizes. They have really cute stuff!
