It is a very strange rule, but, once the ball goes into the hole, it is deemed to be holed so the players pick it out. But, the reason they don't pull the flag out is because most pins have a ledge at the bottom where the ball touches, if they pull the flag out and the ball comes out, the ball is not holed, so they must putt it. There is no penalty, but they must play the ball where it lies. If you hit a shot, and the ball rests between the lip and the pin, it is not holed until it comes to rest at the bottom of the cup, therefore, either the player or someone nominated by the player (i.e caddy) may move the pin slightly, if the ball falls into the hole it is holed, if the ball comes out, it is not holed.
What if the golf course has no red tee markers?
Ask in the pro shop and see what the equivalent is, or just pick one of the other tees.
What are the rules for an eclectic competition in golf?
An eclectic competition is carried out in several rounds. You work out your score by taking the best score for each hole and adding the scores for each hole. For example, suppose you score 4, 4, 4, 5, 4, 4, ... on the first round. Then 4, 4, 3, 4, 4, 4, ... Then 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 4, ... For a 3-round Eclectic you would count 4 for holes 1 and 2; 3 for hole 3 (from Round 2); then 4 for each of holes 4, 5, 6 (ignoring the 5s), ... So your Eclectic score is almost always less than each individual round's score.

There are situations in which you may receive 6 inches relief, this is when lift, clean and place is in play. Check local rules for relief from sprinkler heads etc.

No there is no caddie needed. You do have the option but one is not required.
I completely agree with you. There are far far too many cheats at club level golf with no real punishment to discourage them. Unfortunately, the rules do not allow for a player to be so dishonest, and only a DQ from that competition is issued under the rules. It completely depends on the club's bye laws, as to what punishment is issued. At my club it is a 18 month suspension for a first time offence, and clearly your name is tarnished forever, not many come back.

You are allowed relief from the rabbit hole. One club length, no nearer the hole. You can not take relief from the tree unless you take a penalty drop. You are however perfectly within your rights to take free relief from the rabbit hole which allows you to avoid the tree, again only if no nearer the hole.

In the case you stated they would add up second and third purses and then split them. The next person would then be fourth. It makes sense even if ten people tie for the second highest score the next person did not come in third and really came in twelveth and would get that prize and the tied golfers would add the 10 purses for 2nd through 11th and each get one tenth of it.
What happens if you play a golf medal by your self and enter a score to deceive?
You wouldn't be allowed out by yourself. But, you would be disqualified from the competition, and probably suspended from your club.

No, but you have made the key distinction. Soliciting advice IS a two shot penalty, but unsolicited IS NOT.

Can you obtain relief for gur in a bunker?
Yes, if a bunker is marked GUR you are entitled to a free drop. To do so, you remove your ball from the bunker, and from the nearest point of relief you are allowed one club length, you drop your ball and play.
If there is water in the bunker and there is no GUR marked you are allowed a free drop in the bunker, no nearer the hole. If you cannot get relief from the water you can either play it or you can take a penalty drop out of the bunker.
