The people of this region are very hard working, they mainly do cultivation, run milk dairies and make milk products. The people of the prairies had a very tough time, when they first arrived, and settled there. The land was cheap and hostile, they building their homes, then started to farm. Beginning with crops and gardens, they then bought livestock and advanced step further. Raising chickens and cows for slaughter and to sell for money, or sometimes to barter for something they really needed. It was hit and miss at first, having to put up with the harsh winters and storms, many lost a lot and gave up, but others continued on. As new technology came along their life was easier, and they could branch out, buying more land and developing it. Now there are dairy farms, chicken ranches, feed lots, and huge vegetable farms. There are ones that deal with goats, turkeys, bison, and even some underground mining, as mineral deposits were discovered when digging wells for water. Remember that many people died tyring to tame the prairies, to give what we have today.

Temperate grassland the leader in wheat export due to the following reasons.

(i) Agricultural activities are carried on the large scale in temperate grassland because this part thickly populated in the region.

(ii) Temperate grassland is highly fertile, so the Wheat production is high as compare to the other region.

(iii) Wheat can't be cultivated in the extreme winter therefore, temperate grassland is ideal because there weather is mild & temperate cool.

(iv) Rain is required during growth of Wheat, while bright sunshine is required at the time of reaping.

Grassland rather than forests are different due to water, water and water. The more water (rain, snow) the more likely trees will grow. The less water, more grass will be there. If you look on a map (US), you will see that the further west you look, the fewer trees will be seen and more and more grass, until you will begin to see desert in which even grasses have a hard time growing.

Oxygen, but we also need carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and many others as well.

You are describing a plain that has low rain fall over the year.

An African Savanna is hot in the day and cold at night because in the day, the sun heats up the earth, and Africa is at the equator, where the sun has a smaller area to heat, so it is extremely hot. But at night, it is extremely cold because there are no clouds to keep the heat in, so the heat just escapes. Think of the clouds as a blanket over the world. No blanket, no heat.

I just finished winterizing my 2006 Outback 5th wheel. The steps I use are:

1. Drain and clean grey and black holding tanks.

2. Remove drain plug in hot water tank and allow water to drain out of tank

3. open all taps inside and outside trailer

4. I have made an air hose to garden hose male attachment ( easy to make as parts are available at any hardware store)

5.Connect the air hose attachment to the fresh water inlet

6. Turn on the air hose compressor and allow all taps to drain completely

7. Once air only is coming from the hot water tank, open the bypass valve so nothing goes through the tank and that allows more air pressure to go through the other lines.

8. Don't forget to open the shower lines and the outside kitchen or shower taps if you have them.

9. Open the two drain plugs that extend below the underskirt.

10. Close each tap ensuring one is left open to allow the air to escape and then once you are satisfied all water is removed from then lines, shut off the air compressor and close the final tap.

11. If you have water in your fresh water holding tank, you will need to drain that as well. Disconnect the line to the water pump and gently blow air through the lines and the pump as well.

12. Place RV antifreeze into each drain to fill the traps and the job is done.

I used the RV antifreeze in my fresh water lines once and I think I emptied the tank 5 or m6 times before I got the good water taste, and that is why I always blow the lines out rather than inject that putrid stuff into my tanks.
