Oh, dude, guppies are like the little vacuum cleaners of the fish tank world. They'll pretty much eat anything that fits in their mouth, including mealworms. So yeah, if you drop a mealworm in their tank, they'll probably gobble it up like it's a gourmet meal. Just make sure you're not feeding them too many treats, or they might get a little too round for their own good!

Oh, dude, guppies might munch on their own poop because it contains some undigested nutrients that they missed the first time around. It's like a second chance buffet for them. But hey, who am I to judge their dietary choices? Just another day in the fish tank, am I right?

Even the extremely plainest girls might not get picked by the brightest-colored boys so the girl population could suffer, too.

And if more male guppies are born than female guppies, soon you'll have a tank of really grouchy guys who all want to be God-Guppy of the tank. Any girls left might even go into hiding to get away from the fighting.

Eventually, there won't be reproduction, because either girls have died off too or the girls try to stay away from aggressive boys, and the most aggressive boys will kill off the weakest guys. Plus, guppies do eat their tiniest babies.

So you'd end up with a tank of grumpy guppy males too scared of the God-guppy to even swim much..... making a very unhappy guppy life in a tank...

Well, it depends on their size. From what I've heard, you can put one inch of fish into a tank per gallon, so: 5 one inch fishes of 1 five inch fish etc. It doesn't matter about the fish unless some are aggressive and the others are not.

You don't "mate " guppies. They do it themselves. Simply place a mature female and a mature male together in a properly set up, heated, filtered tank (minimum size 5 gallon) and feed and look after them properly, and they will do whatever it takes to produce young.

After giving birth the male &/or female will their fry.

You should keep fry in a breeding net after birth.

And keep female in another breeding net or aquarium after giving birth,

this is so that she can recover fully before being mixed with male again.

Livebearing fish (including guppies, mollies, platies and swordtails) are notorious for eating their young, sometimes as they are being born. If it is possible to separate the mother into another tank immediately after birth of the young, it should be done.

NO! Frogs poison the water with their poo and piddle. The fish can not live in that stuff. Frogs (and all Amphibians ) should be housed in a Vivarium not an Aquarium. This is not correct. African dwarf frogs emit very little waste. They are very small and can live peacefully with tetras and snails absolutely.

You MUST be joking. It has taken millions of years for a guppy to evolve as an omnivore and you in your wisdom wish to change a basic thing it has evolved to be. My advice is forget about keeping fish successfully if you want to change them.
