Two types of body movements in gymnastics?

I am not entirely sure what you are looking for, but two types of possible body positions in gymnastics would be a pike and an arch body position. A pike, for example, would be if you were to sit in the floor, with your legs straight out in front of you, toes pointed and lean your chest toward your thighs. An arch position would simply just be an arching of the back.

What is aerobic gymnastics?

Aerobic gymnastics (aka Sport Aerobics) looks somewhat similar to a floor exercise, but "is the ability to perform continuously complex and high-intensity movement patterns to music...with a high degree of perfectly executed elements of difficulty." It can be performed solo or with more than one athlete. Some movements that would be used in other gymnastics are banned - like handsprings and acrobatic flips.

How does the gymnastics scoring system work?

In individual events a number of Judges (usually 7) award marks out of 10 for each dive. Only three scores count toward the total so the highest and lowest scores are removed. The total of the three scores is then multiplied by the dive tariff.

Each dive is given a tariff according to difficulty. This is often called the degree of difficulty (DD)

A forward three and a half piked (107B) has a tariff of 3.0. A forward four and a half tuck (109C) has a tariff of 3.7.

Example:

A diver completes a 107B and receives 7.5, 8.0, 8.5 8.0, 7.5, 8.5, 8.0 from the seven judges. The two highest (8.5's) and the two lowest (7.5's) scores are removed leaving 3 x 8.0 totalling 24. This total is multiplied by the tariff to give the dive score: 24 (Judges marks) x 3.0 (Dive tariff) = 72 points

Another diver completes a 109C and receives the same scores from the judges. His total score will be: 24 x 3.7 = 88.80 points.

Synchronized events are marked differently. I'm happy to try and explain them also if anyone wants me to!

How do gymnastics leotards not constantly ride up?

At the gym, we have this thing we like to call "leotard glue" and you roll it onto the place on your skin where the leotard ends and then stick the end/hemming of your leotard to it. It'll take a few minutes to stick, but once it does, it won't move. Just make sure you go to the bathroom before putting it on because it can get painful when you take your leotard off when the "butt glue" is still on ;) I dont have the exact name of this product, but I can update this answer when I get it. It can also be used to keep other articles of clothing in place, like keeping your knee socks from sliding down your legs :) I hope this helps a bit!

a giant is very easy. i would know because i am a gymnast on the jr elite team. all you have to do is get on a high bar or a strap bar. i would start on a strap bar, so you don't fall.

1. press up into a handstand

2. as you are coming down put your body in a hollow position

3. push your wrists toward the oppistite side of the bar

4. when you are coming up try to get enogh momentum to press back into a handstand

What shape of trampoline is best for tumbling?

A round circle trampoline, because you can jump freely end-to-end. An oval is just disgusting, since you can barely do your flips. And rectangle you can't go end-to-end, you have to leave a space because it's a rectangle, and you can only go horizontal and vertical, not diagonal, like a circle. Hope this helps. I'd say a round trampoline.
