Note: You can only by one item per week and they cycle through, so if you're hard up on cash I'd advise saving for neccesities first like an oven and frying pan.

In Summer you will be given the Blue Feather. Use that to propose to one of the guys once he has four hearts for your character. The Wedding will automatically take place on the first day of the second year no matter when you proposed.
The other way is to just wait until the start of the second year. On the first day of the second year (if your character is not already engaged) the guy who likes your character most will show up and ask your character to marry him.
You must get married to move o n to the second chapter. If you say no the game ends.

The Ocean- since you can get quite alot of fish and the fishing team in winter makes you a billionaire so that you can buy the island aswell.(You can get the Squid, a Fish King by throwing a small fish into the water and then fishing in the exact spot you threw the small fish into.)
The Island- You can get many different fishes on the island and you can get the cottage and stay the night, but unfortunately, you can't fish from inside since the island is NOT on the map.
The Hotsprings- You can get a Fish King there, the Spa Catfish. You can also find the Watering Team's Leader in the first one if you dip your rod in there. (And make spa-boiled eggs by throwing in eggs one time, and then a second time, the third time ruins it)
The Waterfall- You can get a variety of fish there and you can also fish with it from your hourse when equipped with the rod and the Necklace in your accessory slot.
N.B. If you hire the Fishing Team, the fish go straight to the shipping bin, and not to your fridge, or your duck pond.
N.B. 2 If you throw fish into your duck pond, it saves them and gets the ducks food, so you don't need to plantanything near the pond if you want to feed your ducks.
