Can dimmer switches be used with 3 way switches?
Well, they sell 3-way compact fluorescent bulbs, but they're quite a bit more expensive; up to 20 dollars a bulb!...Harder to find as well, since many people (myself included) debate whether the purchase is worth it. I've made the switch w/ all but my three-way lamp. Anyway, using a one-way cf bulb will pose the same problems as using an incandescent one-way as far as electrical fire hazards. Hope that helps!

What is plasma and superfluids as phases of matter?

Superfluids are liquids that flow without any viscosity at temperatures close to absolute zero, exhibiting unique properties such as zero friction and the ability to climb walls.
Will standard 480i cable programs look OK on HDTV?
Yes. They will not look "bad" by any means, but it won't look fantastc either. It mostly depends on your service provider. Time warner is the worst picture quality out there. then comes comcast. Then the top of the line stuff, for cable anyway, is Verizon Fios.

What are two surge suppressor specifications?
The clamping voltage is the threshold beyond which the suppressor begins its protection. Clamping speed is how quickly a device reacts to a change in voltage. The joule rating determines a device's capacity to absorb electricity. These all should be checked.
How do you disassemble a Panasonic wetdry shaver?
If your Panasonic ES-364 shaver is not working, try pulling on the smaller of the two electrodes that protrude from the bottom of the shaver. If your shaver now works, you may want to just want to use it as-is. If you're note content with that, or want to disassemble your shaver for any other reason, read on.
First, take the shaver outside and use a can of air to clean the shaver. Repeat this at various stages of the disassembly, being careful not to lose any parts!
Remove the two screws at the bottom (the end that plugs in to the charger) of the shaver, and remove the bottom cover. Keep track of the two small washers, and a small flat plastic piece, about 10mm square that fits inside of the cover - these keep the unit waterproof.
Open the shaver head, and remove the blade assembly from the white plastic vibrating arm by pulling on it - it will pop off. Undo the two screws on either side of the arm, keeping track of the two small washers under the plate - these will tend to stay in place and stick to the metal plate or the plastic underneath the plate.
Press on the mechanism from the end you first opened, and notice a gap opening up where at the other end, just below the head latch button and hinge. Gently pry open this crack, and work the case apart. Keep the large O-ring that seals the case, and make a note of its orientation so that you can assemble it the same way.
This has been too easy, I know, so there is one headache. I have not figured out how to remove the sliding trimmer assembly. Because of this, I found it was necessary to pry the large black U-shaped plastic clamp from the vibrating arm at the same time you pull the innards out of the case. If you figure out a solution to this, please update this article.
The power switch operates by a small white lever, with an O-ring, that moves when you slide the exterior switch assembly, to make electrical contact. If your shaver is failing to turn on due to the problem mentioned in the first paragraph, find the white plastic piece that is blocking the switch, bend it out a bit with tweezers, and snip it off.
At this point, you pretty much have the shaver apart, and the question was not about assembling, was it? LOL.
It depends on what you mean by HL. It could mean Half life I guess, which is an award winning computer game by valve. And also a scientific term used to describe the time it takes for half of all of the atoms to decay from a molecule.
How do you convert a diol into an aldehyde?
A diol can be converted into an aldehyde through oxidation using a strong oxidizing agent like chromic acid (H2CrO4) or Jones reagent (CrO3/H2SO4). The diol is first oxidized into a carbonyl compound called a diketone, which then undergoes further oxidation to form the aldehyde.

Does a television draw electricity while off?
most modern televisions are drawing electricity all of the time, so that the device can sense when a remote is used to issue a command to turn on. Also, part of the circuitry is kept charged all the time, to reduce the 'warmup' time between turning the unit on and seeing a picture.
Can a 240V wire be run from the junction box and not the service box?
Yes, a 240V wire can be run from a junction box that is connected to the service box. The junction box serves as a point where circuits branch off, so the 240V wire can originate from there rather than directly from the service box. It is important to ensure that all electrical work is done following local electrical codes and regulations.
== == Sometimes when you shut down a circuit breaker it doesn't go all the way back to the on position. Try shutting them off again, making sure they go fully to the off position then flip them on making sure they are fully on. If the toggle that you flip is wobbly or feels loose that is your problem and you can correct it by doing the above. <><><> It is possible that one of the circuit breakers you turned off is bad. I have turned off breakers before and had them fail to reconnect the circuit when it was flipped back on. I had to replace the breakers. <><><> Could be the electrical circuits in the pool area - which is very liable to get water spray and splashes - is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) as well as the main circuit breaker on the supply panel.
If that fixture you mentioned has been replaced incorrectly there could be a wiring error or a ground fault condition which is tripping the GFCI. As working on electricity in a wet area is now illegal in many localities - check the wiring codes or regulations in the town or state where you live - it is safest and best to call in a licensed electrician to fix this problem for you. IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOB
SAFELY AND COMPETENTLY
REFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.
If you do this work yourself, always turn off the powerat the breaker box/fuse panel BEFORE you attempt to do any work AND always use a meter or voltage indicator to insure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized.
How do you answer 'What matters to you the most and why'?
This is a question about your values. Don't feel that you need to lie and say work is most important to you. If it is not -- and generally it is not -- be honest.
Any job searcher needs to do serious introspection. Carefully consider what is important to you and why. Try writing it out. Ask yourself questions and write out the answers as if you were aggressively interviewing yourself.
Values are not a simple hierarchy. Everyone has multiple values that need to be balanced. One of them should be pride and satisfaction from your work. That should be mentioned with the others in a job interview.
It's possible to run 2500 feet of underground cable between two 200A breaker boxes, but there may be some power loss due to the resistance of the cable over that distance. To minimize power loss, it's important to use a cable with appropriate gauge size for the distance and amperage needed. Consulting with a qualified electrician to determine the best cable type and gauge for your specific situation is recommended.
