Yes, it is perfectly safe. However, if there is a storm happening at the same time, there might be a chance of being shocked so turn off your computer when that happens.

Is it bad to wear headphones when you're sick?

Yes. It is a bad idea to sleep with headphones on, if you have music on that is. if you have music on and you wearing headphones, and you fall asleep it could possibly mess your hearing up. if you have headphones on for no reason, then maybe maybe not, but I don't recommend anyone sleeps with headphones on. I hoped this answers your question. ^_^

Is it illegal to drive while using headphones?

The law varies from state-to-state, and is not federally legislated.

For example, in Texas, there is no law concerning headphones at all, so it is perfectly legal to wear headphones while driving (but is just as unsafe as leaving your music loud enough to overshadow emergency vehicles and vehicle horns).

In California, unless specifically permitted to do so by law (such as emergency vehicles, highway maintenance crews, earplugs to protect from injury, hearing aids, etc.), you are barred from wearing headphones on both ears.

Check with your state's government for details.

Will 6 ohm surround sound speakers work with an 8 ohm amplifier?

It's a myth. There is really no 8 Ohm amplifier on the market. And there never was. The amplifier will have an output impedance of around 0.04 ohms. In hi-fi we have always impedance bridging. Zout << Zin. That means the output impedance of the amplifier is much less than the input impedance of the loud speaker. The damping factor Df = Zin / Zout tells you what Zout is. Zout = Zin/Df. If the damping factor Df = 200 and the loudspeaker impedance is Zin = 4 ohms, the output impedance of the amplifier is Zout = 4 / 200 = 0.02 ohms. You see, there is no "8 ohm amplifier" on the market with a 8 ohm output impedance. Scroll down to related links and look at "Voltage Bridging - Zout < Zin".

Can you wear one ear bud while driving in NJ?

You may be able to wear one, but the other ear must be kept free to hear sirens or other traffic warning devices. You cannot, in any circumstances, have both ears covered with earphones nor have ear buds on both ears at the same time. Your first priority in driving a car is ... driving the car ... driving is a privilege, it is NOT a right.

What materials are used to make headphones?

Wow! The list would be pretty long if we get down to basics.

1. Fiberglass (for P.C. board)

2. Lead and Tin (solder)

3. Silver (connector in IC chip)

4. Plastics (assorted uses)

5. Copper

6. Arsenic (n material in IC chips)

7. Phosegene gases (for p material)

8. Hydrofluoric acid (was used to make but not in unit)

9. cleaning solvents (again in manufacturer)

10 Silicon

11. Tin (back of unit)

12. Lithium (battery)

13. gold (terminals)

14. glass

15. Photo resist (to make IC)

16. HMDS (make Photo resist stick)

17. POCOL gases (chem deposition for IC)

18. Several steel molds to stamp cases

19. power (for furnaces, stamping equipment , lights etc)

That is off the top of my head. Total is probably 2000 different elements and materials.

What are the advantages of neckband headphones compared to other types of headphones?

Some of the advantages of neckband headphones compared to other types of headphones are that the neckband headphones are more durable and have a firmer fit than the type that only attach to your ears. They are better for runners and other sport players because they stay in place better and have only a single cord on 1 side which makes them less likely to get snagged on something.

Why do headphones need sponge?

Headphones use sponge or foam padding to enhance comfort and improve sound quality. The padding cushions the ears, making prolonged use more comfortable while also providing a better seal around the ears, which helps to isolate sound and reduce external noise. Additionally, the sponge material can help absorb some vibrations, contributing to a more immersive listening experience.

Why do earbud headphones break so easily even when handled carefully?

i believe its a conspiracy between companies so we can carry on getting ripped off and in a whole lifetime spend thousands on these small breakable cheap things, jus imagine if we could have headphones which would last us years the big companies would not make monet, no jokes aside i believe they mess up when they get tangled and the wires inside break away from the base of the socket and thus sound quality go's, also i think cos they also use thin bendy material, they should make them heavier but again would not be soo light.

The earbuds along with most other headphones and headtsets have very fragile soldering and jacks so they always break. Given how small the buds are it is obvious that the connections are likewise going to be small and fragile.

I think the key to making your buds last is to treat them very gently, in particular when you are taking them out of your ears. Do not yank them out of your ears by pulling the cords. Grip the buds themselves to remove them.

What are the best types of headphones?

Wireless earbuds with noise cancellation are highly recommending to someone looking to travel. I have seen most people in the train or while boarding flights using wearing it. I'm using one of these right now and it is really awesome when it comes to functionality and compatibility.

How do you fix a broken headphones my high sierra headphones not ear-buds snapped in half any fixes will tape work?

From your description it sounds like the headband broke (the part that goes over your head and connects the two earpieces).

First, try taking them back to the dealer where you got them. Headphones should not break like this under normal usage, and it's possible that this kind of failure would be covered by a warranty.

If that doesn't work, look up the manufacturer's website. They might be willing to replace them. Look for a "contact us" link and send them an e-mail describing what happened. If the website allows it, include a photo of the broken headphones.

If none of that works, you will need to try a repair yourself. Just taping the break won't work; tape is not strong enough to withstand the torque of a broken headband. Instead, you will need to use some form of "splint" along with the tape. A metal splint would be best, but plastic will do in a pinch. It should have approximately the same stiffness as the headband. Place the splint so that it covers the crack and extends at least an inch on either side of the damaged area, then tape it in place. It may not be pretty, but it should be functional.
