Why did the nazi want to eliminate undesirable groups?

They wanted to kill them because they thought the Aryans were more superior than anyone else. They also thought that Germany only belonged to them and that nobody else should live there.

They also thought that a lot of the people they had killed were a drain on society or a danger to it. Mengela's cruel experiments were really done to try to discover ways to repopulate Germany with Aryans faster.

What did Adolf Hitler enjoy doing?

After Adolf Hitler dropped out of school early, his biggest dream was to be an artist and apply to the Academy of Fine Arts. But that dream was destroyed when they denied him twice.

Hitler was a bit of an amoral man who pretty adamant about being inrolled into Viena Academy of Fine Arts. His dream, however was never realized because the dean of admission thought he was more fit to be an architech. He soon became a lonely man who painted postcards and advertisements. He had eventually grown a strong hate or even animosity towards cosmopolitanism.

What tortures did the concentration camp prisoners go through?

Simply put - most Jews were worked to death. They often worked hard labor for up to 16 hours per day - having only 1 small meal - which generally had little or no nutritional value. On average, they lived for about 45 to 60 days after arriving at the concentration camp.

Of course there were exceptions - if one could cook or play an instrument well or had some exceptional ability - they were used as entertainment. Often attractive women were used as sex slaves to several Germans - but his was a VERY tightly kept secret; a German man should never have sex with a Jewish woman - it made the man "dirty" according to Hitler. This was rare because everybody (even children) had their heads shaved upon entering the concentration camps - to control lice.

As far as tortured - this may take some explaining! Being in the camps was torture iteself - but the Germans never tortured prisoners - they had no reason - they were not looking for answers to anything - all they wanted from their Jewish prisoners was for them to die. But of course there were exceptions to this - often there was sadistic guards that beat women and men to death for fun - rare but it did happen. ALso it must be taken into consideration that most knew they were there to die - and things like "showers" that were actually posionous gas - were well known. So lining up for a shower - would be considered torture.

How did Josef Mengele escape?

He seems to have taken his time, I wonder if he trusted or could access Operation paperclip.

It was a bit of a mess with the man probably leaving false trails or his "keepers" namely the West who wanted him for his trauma research. This became MK Ultra and monarch programming and repaid the Yanks with now their NSA Extreme Process. It is mentioned the Brits got hold of him and this seems likely from my meeting the Doctor I claim in 2002 in the UK in context....mind control research. (The death was a necessary new escape and Villa Almiran (Mougins) might have played a part.He visited Europe in 1977 and photos found until then lack later additions despite my claims.

Tim Baber wrote that above,,,over to Jorge...

Nazi war criminals escaped to Argentina using false identities supplied by the Red Cross. A statement issued by the ICRC, from its Geneva headquarters, said they were among thousands of people found in refugee camps who were given Red Cross travel documents. Despite international efforts to track him down, he was never apprehended and lived for 35 years hiding under various aliases. He lived in Paraguay and Brazil until his death in 1979. One afternoon, living in Brazil, he went for a swim. While in the ocean he suffered a massive stroke and began to drown. By the time he was dragged to shore, he was dead.

Why did the German people think that Jews were inferior to them?

All Germans did not hate the Jews; but those that did were inspired by Hitler and his doctrine to hate them.

How were the more physical forms of work viewed by Aryans?

The Aryans felt that labor, specifically manual labor, should be done by "lesser people" whom they deemed to be inferior.

Did Hitler actually kill anyone?

He is responsible for the deaths of millions. However, if you are referring to killing by say, a gun, then the number is not that high. It also depends on whether suicide counts as a kill.

What did the German soldiers do to the Jewish people during world war 2?

Most of the harm that was done to the Jews by the Germans was a political movement, not a military one, as such it was the para-military organisation of the SS who did the most, with concent/orders from the government.

They killed people inside and outside of their own homes, they burned and destroyed property. They encouraged local populations to do the same. In other areas they collected Jews to be sent to ghettos and to concentration cams and to extermination camps.

What happened after the Jewish left the ghettos?

after the war they were put in 'displaced persons' camps', before the war, those that were released could go home.

How did the Nazis define Jews?

The Nuremberg Laws of 1935 established three categories of 'Jewishness':

1. 'Full Jews' - three or four Jewish grandparents; also anyone who belonged to a Jewish congregation.

2. 'Half Jews' - two Jewish grandparents.

3. 'Quarter Jews' - only one Jewish grandparent.

(For membership of the SS one was supposed to show that one had no Jewish ancestors since 1750).

Before the passing of the Nuremberg Laws, the criteria were haphazard.

Anyone with more than two Jewish grandparents and anyone who practised the Jewish religion. Subject to various conditions, people with one or two Jewish grandparents were classified as 'mischlings', that is 'mixed race', and their position was precarious.

How did Germany try to cover the Holocaust?

Germany simply claimed the concentration camps were prisons.

___

Different things were covered up in different ways.

Ordinary concentration camps, like Dachau and Buchenwald, were established as very harsh punishment camps. Their existence was not secret. They were intended mainly for opponents of the Nazi regime, and some information was allowed to get out, in order to deter dissidents.

The Holocaust, however, was supposed to be secret. The extermination camps were also supposed to be secret. Their purpose was to exterminate, not to deter, and very little information get out. Nevertheless, not everyone kept quiet. Some soldiers home on leave from the Eastern Front talked about what was happening behind the front ... and the Nazi regime was sometimes careless. In addition, a handful of people escaped from extermination camps and managed to talk about them. Two men - Vrba and Wetzler - escaped from Auschwitz II in 1944 and managed to get some of the remaining Jews in Slovakia to listen to what they had to say. Their report was sent to the Allies, too.

The official reason given for the deportation of Jews was 'resettlement in the East [that is in Eastern Europe].

The SS attempted to cover up the Holocaust and especially the extermination camps. At Belzec and Treblinka the building were dismantled and the site was grassed over. At Chelmno and Sobibor care was taken to hide traces of the Holocaust, and at Auschwitz II the SS blew up the gas chambers and crematoria as the Soviet Army approached. Majdanek was taken after a sudden, unexpected advance in July 1944, and the gas chambers and crematoria were still largely intact, but that was unusual.

What were the Nuremberg laws passed by the Nazi in 1935?

1. Reichsflaggengesetz: if one owned a German flag he/she was forced to put the Nazi's symbol on it.

2. Civilianity: A German or non-Jew could not marry, or have anyting to do except violence with Jews.

3. Blood: If one had any Jewish blood or if one of his/her parents were Jewish he/she could lose their life because of that. If one had German blood or any other but Jewish he had a life.

4. If one were out after the curfew, they would die especially if they were Jewish.

PS: number four is technically not one of the 3 laws but its was still cruelly important.

Who did Corrie Ten Boom help?

Corrie Ten Boom helped hundreds of Jews escape persecution by hiding them in her home. It is estimated that the family saved over 800 Jews. She was the only one of her family who survived the Concentration Camps they were sent to after soldiers discovered the Jews they were hiding.

What were all the types of deaths the Nazis used to kill the Jews during the Holocaust?

There were several methods:

-- Starvation

-- Medical experiments

-- Gassing (First with carbon monoxide, and later with zyklon b)

-- Death marches (Prisoners were literally forced to march or run until they either died of exhaustion, or fell and were trampled to death by others)

-- Mass shootings

These are the most notable methods.
They were shot, experimented on by cruel doctors, burned alive, and killed by disease.

But the largest number of Jews were killed by gassing, with the use of an industrial pesticide called Zyklon-B.

They were lured into large chambers, usually between 50-200 at a time. Once the doors were locked shut, a Nazi would climb onto the roof of the chamber, and pour Zyklon-B into pre-cut holes. Once exposed to air, the pesticide would give off toxic gasses, killing the majority between one and two minutes of exposure.

The Nazis would sometimes use musical prisoners to play loud music around the gassing chambers, to cover the screams of the dying.

Medical experiments in the holocaust?

Many medical experiments were performed during the Holocaust. Josef Mengle sewed Jewish twins together to make Siamese twins, but that wasn't all that he did. He also froze them to see how long they could stay in cold water. Many Nazis were involved in trying to transplant bone, muscle, and tissue. The doctors tried to find antibiotics to gas gangrene by creating battle like wounds on victims and then infecting them, they would rub sawdust dust, glass and wood all in these wounds. Jews were used to perfect methods of torture, and to perfect methods of execution. Experiments were harsh, and unprecedented.

Did you Know that not all of the doctors in concentration camps were actually licensed? They performed experiments while drunk, and angry. Half of their research was biased and probably not up to par in the medical world today.

On December 9th 1946 there was a trial held were many Nazi physicians were prosecuted for crimes against war and crimes against humanity.
