The Honda book list it as being "34901-GCH-004" which is a speciality bulb, however if your wanting to upgrade your lighting PIAA makes a performance replacement that uses less power to run it yet is noticably brighter and whiter (almots like HID's for an ATV) and those are known as the H6M or from some vendors will be found under the part number 20-0117. It looks kinda like a metal1157 base (like automotive brake lights use) with two connection points, but has a halogen bulb on the head.

Turn ignition on. Indicator lights will light. Put it in neutral. If red reverse light is off, go to next line, If red reverse light is on, shift up one till Green neutral light comes on. Put it in neutral. Shift down till Green light comes on. Press the starter (square button on left grip.

It should be 10:1 and that applies to both '85 Shadow models.

You could take it to advanced auto parts and have them clear the codes for you, they do it for free.

And the guys at the parts place would look at each other and tell you they have no idea how to do that since its not a Check Engine Light. He could simply open his owners manual and read about it. Or he could just do this and get rid of the light.

Turn your key to the Run position without the engine running. Then depress the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. You will then hear 5 beeps. Turn the car off then start it up. As long as you did it right, the light will be gone.

Well I like both Honda little more reliable can am has some mechanical issues.

Better how? for stricktly utility purpose I would go with the Honda, for yes in general GENERAL! they are more reliable. However taking all aspects of quading(atving) the can am outlander is far quicker, more enjoyable and just as usefull. The Can am Renegade is just a 4x4 racing quad pretty well, sporty version of the outlander and virtually useless as a utility quad.

There are two things that come to mind. First I would check the float, make sure thatit is adjusted to the correct height. On most small engine carbs, it will beparalell to the carburetor casting when held upside down. The small tang that rests on top of the needle valve can be bent to make this adjustment. Also check that the float is serviceable. If it has a hole in it, (plastic), or is saturated, (cork), it will not float and shut off theincoming fuel. Next, make sure the fuel supply is not contaminated with water or debris. Drain out a small amount of fuel into a clear glass jar and let it sit for about 5 minuets. Any water or trash present will separate out and settle on the bottom of the jar. If found to be contaminated, drain out tank and clean out with fresh, clean fuel, or perhaps some spray type carb cleaner. Also, be sure to flush out any fuel supply lines.

Put it in first gear, then twist the reverse knob and click it down another geer while you are still holding the knob. Let go of the knob and it should go in reverse. Some models have a little lever instead of this. If the TRX is older than 2005, then it has no reverse gear.

That depends on how you are riding your ATV. Easy level surface riding can get you anywhere between 25 and 40MPG. However aggressive trail riding can drop that number significantly.

on my 200 sx, the year is stamped right under the gas tank on the frame

on my 420 rancher it has stock tires and i know it will do between 45-50 on half a tank of gas. that is driving normally avoiding the mud
