(3) Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.

(4) Remove the motor mounting screw and remove the motor.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Standing in front of the vehicle and looking at the engine, the ATF dispstick is located WAY DOWN on the left side of the engine almost hidden from view by wiring and hoses. Look carefully - it's down there (unless it's been removed and never replaced).

Generally speakling, as a do-it-yourself operation, you cannot alter the timing of the Honda CR-V. The timing of the engine and all other engine operations is governed by the On-Board Computer which controls all these functions.

Could be a number of things. Low coolant, thermostat not opening at proper temperature, water pump failing to circulate water/coolant properly, blown head gasket/radiator/or radiator cap has a small unnoticeable leak and water/coolant is steaming out, etc... Does it fail to work both via the key in the doorlock, and with the dashboard switch? Operate the hatch unlock switch on the dashboard. Can you hear it go 'clunk' at the back of the car, or not? If not, check to see if the fuse that controls the electric unlock mechanism is good. If it has blown it might have cut the power to the little electric motor that actually releases the catch on the hatch mechanism. If it is okay, check the operation of the lock catch itself. Does it move freely? If the fuse is good, but you can't hear any 'clunking' sound, the little servo-motor that releases the catch may have failed. Anything more involved than these simple trouble-shooitng techniques may require a visit to your mechanic.
