If you have to give a farewell speech to a best friend, it is best to talk about the things that matter most about your friendship. You can also talk about your best friend's good qualities and the reasons that made him or her a special person.

Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting...and though unwanted...unbidden...it will stir...open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us...guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love...the clarity of hatred...and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd truly be dead.

An informational speech is to teach something to the audience. It can be on many different subjects from how to train a dog to how to write a computer program.

Black History is a good subject to create topics for a speech but it can't be a topic itself.

Oral presentations can be done from any subject. The best subjects are ones that you personally know a lot about.

Use correct grammar and appropriate sentences.

Dear Mr.Smith,

My wife bought a china cabinet from your company store in Vienna, Virginia. We had 2 young men, who did not speak good English, assemble our cabinet. They left a short while after. I was assembling items in the cabinet when I realized it was missing 10 nails and a light. I called your store and they did not pick up. I called in a few hours later. A person picked up and told me people would come and help me on Monday, March 8th at 12:00. No one came at 12, 1, 2, 3, or 4!

I called your store and asked why. They did not know and rescheduled it, for the next day at 3. No one showed up at 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7! I want someone to come or my money back. Thank you. My number is 777-888-9990.

Many times it is very critical. Some examples of where non-verbal communication is critical is a traffic cop directing traffic, a safety officer on the deck of an aircraft carrier ensuring things remain safe, a detective interviewing a susptect to determine if the suspect is telling the truth, etc. On the flip side, some examples of jobs where non-verbal communication may not be as critical are radio announcers, sign makers, and plumbers.

Then suddenly, we heard a voice call, "Consuelo. . . . Oscar. . . . Consuelo. . . . Oscar. . . . Consuelo. . . . Oscar. . . ." we ran towards the direction of the voice, but it was too late. We saw father hanging on a tree. . . . dead. Oh, it was terrible. He had been badly beaten before he died. . . . and I cried vengeance, vengeance, vengeance! Everything went black. The next thing I knew I was nursing my poor invalid mother.

One day, we heard the church bell ringing "ding-dong, ding-dong!" It was a sign for us to find a shelter in our hide-out, but I could not leave my invalid mother, I tried to show her the way to the hide-out.

Suddenly, bombs started falling; airplanes were roaring overhead, canyons were firing from everywhere. "Boom, boom, boom, boom!" Mother was hit. Her legs were shattered into pieces. I took her gently in my arms and cried, "I'll have vengeance, vengeance!" "No, Oscar. Vengeance, it's God's," said mother.

But I cried out vengeance. I was like a pent-up volcano. "Vengeance is mine not the Lord's". "No, Oscar. Vengeance is not ours, it's God's" these were the words from my mother before she died.

Mother was dead and I was blind. Vengeance is not ours? To forgive is divine but vengeance is sweeter. That was five years ago, five years. . . .

I would track down or modify a humorous ethnic story to break the ice and entertain your audience right at the start. Humour is the most successful opening strategy.

You can write a formal request letter by first dating the letter. You'll need to put the name of the receiver, their title, and address. You can start out the letter with 'Dear Mr./Mrs.' and their last name.

Speech fest is a public speaking competition for elementary students. Students will be marked on the writing, presentation of their speeches. Students write speeches about topics that are appropriate for their age. Students will first be judged by their teachers, some speakers will move on to the second round where they will will present their speech to their grade, exceptional speakers will then present to their whole school and get judged by principals and school board officials.
