You can easily reset the settings on your iPod by either going to the reset feature on the iPod itself. Alternatively, you can use the iTunes software to do a complete reset, including deleting music.

That all depends on how mobile you want to be. Google 'war driving'. You can war drive with your laptop using a good wireless N card; you will want an 802.11N card with an antenna jack, or possibly use a Hawking Technology HWDN1 usb dish and the software 'Netstumbler'. You can also buy a gps puck for your laptop, and use http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map?form=wifi, and then map it with Google Earth. With this, you can drive around your neighborhood scanning for wireless internet hotspots, map your findings, and see where your mobile internet can be found. BTW, word of warning...do not ask about war driving in the Netstumbler forum. You'll get rude answers to look it up yourself, and they'll tell you they're not into 'spoon-feeding' information to people.

yes it does, however it is not called a Hold switch its called a Sleep on/off switch, and its not really a switch its more of a button that you press.

Android phones are a category of smart phones, so the question doesn't make sense. If you mean to ask whether android apps can be installed on non-android phones, then the answer is no (or it is not feasible to do so), but oftentimes the same app is available for various operating systems.

With a jailbroken ipod, you can:

-get all apps free

-get apps for jailbroken ipods like cydia or instalous

-download cydia which can download more apps like to get wifi everywhere

but..

-your warranty for your ipod will be lost

-easy to break device (ipod goes wrong like losing all saved things)

iPod can only play mp4 videos. If your videos are the right videos, you can transfer them to iPod directly with iTunes. If your videos are not the right formats, you need to convert them to iPod MP4 formats with a converter.

There seems to be a new IPod comming out all the time. Right now the IPod Classic is out and is the newest in the Classic line. It holds 120 gig of music, videos, photos has the album browsing features of an IPod touch and has a Genius feature that automatically builds generic playlist when you ask it too. It list for between $230 to $270 and comes in silver and black. The Ipod touch newest is the 32 gig to go along with the 16 and 8 gig versions. The nano is still selling and as you probably know is the flash drive version of the IPod as opposed to the classic's Hard Drive use. I am probably not telling you anything new but as far as I know this is the latest but I am sure something new and improved is on the Horizon.

Yes. If you're using iTunes, ten chapters of an audiobook will go under the "Book" section. For chapters after ten, you have to look at your playlists. Since I frequently listen to books with 14 or 15 chapters, I often hook back up to iTunes midway through the audiobook and delete the first 6 chapters, then sync my shuffle so that the rest of the chapters are in the Book section. You hold the home and the top button until the ipod turns off, continue to hold down both buttons and when the the ipod is turning back on release the top button while continueing to press the home button, this will reset the whole ipod. Do this while the ipod is plugged into your computer. You might have to do this twice for it to work.

Hold down the center button and the menu button for 5-10 seconds until u see a black screen then its gonna reboot and it'll be back to normal.

You do not need to 'jail break' an iPod Touch as iPod's are not a contract service, they work purely via wifi via your home or other physical Internet. all you have to to is go to the setting and enable the wifi signal and then enter the details of the wifi signal you want to join.

My iPod touch 4th generation has iOS 5 so for iOS 5 users do this.
